Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Sounds ominous @Shaz51, do you want to spill the beans?

Ohh @Former-Member, @Faith-and-Hope

this just happens over and over again , maybe I plan too big , maybe I should just plan little changes along the way , I know Mr shaz does not like changes , but these are for me

though I am thinking he is having a bad day and he did say at lunch that he took a extra med last night at midnight , I said to him , i see that is why you have been not yourself today

He has gone back to bed now , he is sooo anxious, worried, flustered about starting work again tomorrow

I do a lot of self talk , I like to get some of ME back again but I think this makes Mr shaz scared something will happen to change things

hope this makes sense

I am glad you are doing the jigsaw puzzle @Shaz51, and I hope Mr. Shaz isn’t finding that too intimidating.

I think it is about adding things into your life in baby steps.

Can you spend an hour or two at your mum’s sometimes on your own ?

It does make sense @Shaz51, getting up for work day 1 after time off is something most of us don't like doing but for Mr D after having some sick leave it was quite exaggerated; he was very reluctant to go back to the office.

I think it is about adding things into your life in baby steps.-- I think soo too @Faith-and-Hope

Trying to catch up with a friend for a coffee and it is totally impossible -- we saw each other 3 days before christmas and she gave me the biggest bear hug ever -- I looked after her childrens yearrrrs ago

Can you spend an hour or two at your mum’s sometimes on your own -- Funny you said this @Faith-and-Hope as i have this mighty feeling this is why she has got me to clean her house once a week ( more like having a cuppa with her and don`t clean too much but talk )

and also My mum said "it is good that I am working everyday "

I have done some reading in the aircon @Former-Member

But i think i will need to do small steps like @Faith-and-Hope said , I know it will come up again as I asked hime to stop at certain places for things i neeeded but he said we don`t need it

Hope your day was ok @Former-Member, @Determined, @Emmet, @Sanatorium23
