Have been keeping up with your news @Determined on your thread. How are things with you @PeppiPatty
@Cath22@Sanatorium23@Tiggeroo hope no major dramas with your significant others med changes. We will be facing this soon as Mr D has crossed a monitoring threshold. My heart is already trembling at the options on offer, will see what happens next pdoc appt.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness
Hi @Former-Member. Thanks for asking about the meds. Yes, changes again! Voices and paranoia are under control, but the extra meds gave him dreadful jitters. Went off that over Christmas which led to extreme lethargy and sleeping a lot. Now just the depot. This works but makes him irritable. He was also getting jittery and acting out, saying odd and annoying stuff, that became hurtful. Finally after I asked him many times if he was doing ok on it, as I’d noticed changes, he admitted to the side effects. He said he didn’t want to worry me and was worried I’d give up if I thought nothing will work. I’ve begged him to let me know if it effects him, because if he denies it is, I take him at his word and think he’s just being a douche bag 😞 I hope he gets it now as we had a couple arguments. He keeps talking about separating him from the illness and the effects of the meds, but I can only do this if I know what’s happening. I think that’s got through, but it’s hard as it changes all the time and just when I understand and get used to one thing, another comes along.
Off to dr tomorrow; he was happy to go once we talked, to see if there is something he can take to help the side effects. Don’t want to change the depot at the moment though as it’s worked best so far.
Hope you are all ok. Xx

@Sanatorium23 ...if it ain't one thing it's another. Hope they can find something that will help and not cause other unwanted effects.
