Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Yes @Former-Member, mum said this morning I might of being overthinking all night maybe unconsciously being stressed

and even my MIL said on friday that all my aches and pains might be stress too

but last night I just could not get comfortable at all and was wide awake

Flexibility necessary eh @Shaz51
After our last longer trip, I am thinking short trips are the way to go.

Yep Flexibility necessary @Former-Member, have to see when we get there on how long we stay , it might be 3 days or 5 with 15 hours driving down and back

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hopefully you can get in a couple of nice treats on the road, stopping at nice cafés and the like. I try and ensure we do what the safety ads say @Shaz51, stopping every 2 hours for a break.

ah ha I have put my orders in @Former-Member, we are going to have a stayover somewhere on the way , It will be nice to stop at one SIL but i think she might be too close

If it just Mr shaz and me , he would totally love it , to stop here and there , taking photos , having maccas , ect but it is different when you are staying with family

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Thank you @Former-Member. I'm not bothered by it, but sometimes feel I have to explain it, i.e. be a little imaginative with the truth, to some people. Mostly for his privacy and respect for him, but a little because people judge. It's a shame but as we all know, mental illness is stigmatized and very misunderstood.
