Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

I saw that you tagged me in this thread on Sunday. It seems like things have gotten a little better for you since then?

It can be very difficult to watch the one's we love struggle - especially for someone so caring, such as yourself. How are you dealing with your feelings of fear? Have you had some time to look after yourself?

Thank you for your comments , I wish I had a magic wand to help my children and it is soo hard when we have to pick up the pieces after their real mum promises so much and then rejects them again and again all their lives

I wish they all lived closer so we can see them more , we have one which is 30 minutes away and she sees us regularly and it has helped her to find her feet , she has her ups and downs

we are real worried about our youngest son , trying to get him to move up here but his partner has a job and she also has 3 children

Like @Faith-and-Hope, I am sending you hugs of courage and strength.

I agree @Determined and @Former-Member - it seems like things are adding up in unhelpful ways at the moment for @Shaz51.

Is there anything that you imagine might help you to look after yourself at this difficult time, @Shaz51? @Former-Member asked, is there any specific ways you think you could engage with self-care? Can you think of any?

This little comic was how I was feeling at the start of the year, but in some way helped me to laugh at myself in the face of all that was going on... thought you may appreciate it.

I had a lovely weekend , which was good , we both went out friday night but mr shaz could not make it on saturday night , but I still went @Former-Member

Monday morning after all the encouraging words from my forum family , I felt energized and ready for the week ,
