Support for Flowerlove22

Support for Flowerlove22

Hey @Sunnyside226 ,

I hope you don't mind me making this thread for you.

I just wanted you to know that the whole forums community is here to support you through this challenging time.

Please look after yourself. I recognise it's hard to look after three small children on your own.

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

I get that @Sunnyside226 sometimes it feels there's is so much pain inside that there aren't enough tears in the world to relieve the sadness. I don't feel that you're a waste of time, but I feel the same way on bad days.

You asked what the point is... can I ask what keeps you going when you feel this way?

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

It sounds like you've got a loving partner @Sunnyside226 my partner and family keep me going too. You mentioned that you can't handle this on your own and y'know I don't think we were made to handle life on our own. Us humans have always survived and thrived in groups + communities. I try to remind myself of that when my brain tries to convince me that I should just be able to juggle everything on my own.

We're never too busy to sit with a valued community member and show support. You are not a burden to us ❤️ I'll be logging off for the evening at 8pm but I'm here until then to listen. I hope to see more of you in the future too 🙂

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

That is in 15 minutes where I am @Sunnyside226

Gosh, no wonder you're feeling exhausted and like you can't do it all on your own. Sounds like you're giving a lot to your siblings and no matter how much we love our family, we all have limits and times when it's too much, especially on top of our own emotions.

You're doing a great job of keeping your head above water by reaching out here, even if it doesn't feel like enough to cope. Do you have any strategies for when you feel like way? For example, when I have a big meltdown, I try to go back to basics to cope - have a hot/cold shower to bring myself back into my body/out of my mind, eat a yummy meal, watch a comfort T.V show etc.

Yes, you can ask that - I want to chat with you because it's in my nature to try my best to help people feel less alone. When I read that you felt alone it reminded me of times where I've felt so alone having little interactions with people helped me process what I was feeling and gave me hope that I can get through another day.

Hi @Sunnyside226

It can be so tough when we get designated as the go-to emotional support for our family members. Though its important to be there for them, remember to look after yourself too. They come to you because you're a good listener, and there for them - be there for yourself also.

I hear it when you say you're trying to do nothing. The nervous energy of emotional overwhelm can be a lot. When you say you're trying to do nothing, is there any hobbies you enjoy which you could use to fill that time and redirect that energy?

Be kind to yourself, you are loved :))

@Sunnyside226

I understand.

It's awful that you feel you've made a mess of yourself, but you're not a mess on here :))

Goodbye, take care.
