Support for Flowerlove22

Hey @Sunnyside226 ,

I hope you don't mind me making this thread for you.

I just wanted you to know that the whole forums community is here to support you through this challenging time.

Please look after yourself. I recognise it's hard to look after three small children on your own.

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

@tyme that might as well be my name

P.s. Half of the shit on here doesn't say "I'm safe" why should one member do it but not others?

Doesn't matter okay. People get whatever they want but if I say something I'm always getting emails about little things go me

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

It's like walking on eggshells on sane

Don't think I've ever had to walk on eggshells before this you know why is it if I say I feel sad or something people get so upset with me?

I'm still trying to work out what I've done to those people this isn't too hurt anyone I'm just wondering.

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

Hey @Sunnyside226 what makes you feel that others are upset with you when you talk about your feelings?

I know when we're feeling upset it is natural for this to influence the way we read tone. Like when I'm feeling anxious or sad I'm much more likely to see a neutral message and believe the other person is annoyed with me or angry with me, but I could read the same message when I'm in a good mood I could read the same message and think the other person is being friendly and happy to talk to me

@Ru-bee that's not it. It's something big anyways I'm going to do a post because I have some questions that you may answer ❤️

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

@Ru-bee my questions I have been wanting to ask

1. If I was to call sane number told them how I feel does sane listen to suicidal people on the phone line? Is it different to the forums ?

2. Is it the same people like @moderator Tyme who answer calls? That work on the forums?

3. Why is it that I say something everyone seems to get upset about my post people should be allowed to say whatever they want on they page within the rules I was I'm feeling suicidal or whatever why do people act like it's the end of the world? When it's not everyone has the right to say whatever they want this platform space is for everything not just one or two people

4. What part of a post do you say I'm safe or (tw). Because it's seems like people only go off at others if they isn't a "I'm safe" or tw

Many people write I'm done I'm suicidal Im over everything goodbye without a I'm safe

But if others write it it's like world war 3 what's the difference? What kind of post do you have to say "I'm safe on?

Just so people know I'm not trying to upset there's are my questions

@Ru-bee are you okay with this post? If not just email me

Also on that note if I'm saying goodbye to someone that's finishing for the day I say goodbye or bye I'm not saying it as a suicidal I'm saying it to be nice 🙂

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

Okay @Sunnyside226 these are some really good questions. There's quite a few so I'll do my best to answer them.

1. The SANE support line is a different job role than moderating the forums, so you'll speak to different people who are all trained to provide support and counselling.

2. Similar to here on the forums, it's okay to call if you experience thoughts of suicide, but it's not a crisis line so if you're needing specific help with that, or feeling like you can't be safe then crisis lines are the way to go instead.

3. I can't speak for others being upset. If you are feeling as though others haven't been treating you nicely on here please feel free to email us with some examples of what's been happening so that we can assist you.

4. If you want to use a trigger warning it's best to put it at the very start of your post, or right before mentioning something that could be triggering. You can say you're safe at any time in your post. Some people like to put it at the start, or the end, but it's up to you. If you're talking about having thoughts of SH or SI let us know that you are safe, or as @tyme mentioned, if you're not safe do not post on the forums.

Another time you can add "I'm safe" is if you're making a post that expresses really strong negative feelings, or feelings of hopelessness.

I hope that answers your questions 🙂

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

I'm keeping you on your toes today @Ru-bee 😂. Thanks for answering

Today I'm not in a really good mood I had to listen to my dad's voice last night I sat at the beach at 2 in the morning. Been to the gym I've done a big run

I'm not feeling Sunnyside today. I'm down I'm done with everything no point in me talking away you have better things to do then listen to me or sit with me

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

Oh that would have been really hard @Sunnyside226

It's understandable that you're not feeling so sunny today after that, but good on you for going to the gym and having a run! I always struggle to do those things when I'm down even though I know it'll help me take my mind off things.
