Support for Flowerlove22

Hey @Sunnyside226 ,

I hope you don't mind me making this thread for you.

I just wanted you to know that the whole forums community is here to support you through this challenging time.

Please look after yourself. I recognise it's hard to look after three small children on your own.

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

@Sunnyside226 that would be so hard hun. What do you find helps you to soothe and calm your body when this happens?

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

Long drives but I'm soooo tried because I've been up since 3 I am stressed about my next appointment I want to hide away and cry @Jynx i had a bad nightmare and everytime I close my eyes it's there I haven't had one for 2 months I'm so stupid for believing I got better from them I'm sure you are busy so you don't need me to waffle on

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

@Sunnyside226 You can waffle on if you find it helpful to vent and get things off your chest! That's what this space is all about, a safe place to be open, vulnerable, and connect to others who can listen and provide support.

Instead of looking at it like, you should have gotten better from the nightmares, maybe look it as, 'wow, it's been two months since my last nightmare, that's progress!'

Recovery is never linear, we have ups and downs along the way, but you must have been doing something right to have that length of time nightmare-free. And besides, you're under an unusually high amount of pressure right now so it's no wonder your brain is lapsing back into stress-responses like having nightmares.

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

@Jynx you're kind , the nightmare was of my dad but I'm not going to disclose what happened because then i wouldn't be the best person for anyone

Today I had a full blown meltdown at the hospital before I even walked in because I had to get test done

My body is shaking what if I see it again it was bad enough last night

@Jynx is it you that has kitty?

I'm starting to panic and cry

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

@Sunnyside226 yeah course hun, maybe better not to dwell on it anyway hey.

Oh that's so fair! Tests can be incredibly anxiety provoking. What tends to help you when you're in a meltdown?

It is me who has a kitty - here's a nice pic of one of em I took yesterday, may it bring you some happiness 💜

Re: Support for Flowerlove22

@Sunnyside226 nah she looks small in that photo cos I used a fisheye lens - she's two and a half, the calico. My tabby is 10 months - she'll turn 1 in mid-March!

Haha with all that happens on forums we're all bound to get confused! I've mixed up members before too, don't worry 😉

Haha nah I thought about it - got a harness and everything, but Trixie would get too scared to go further than my front door. They're very home-loving cats, get very spooked by the big outside world.

No cooking today! Got heaps of leftover risotto still. What are you brewing up for the little ones tonight?
