APPROACHING SURE?
I had a drive into the country yesterday to attend a christmas lunch with people that I did not really know. I am needing to process what happened. If anyone would like to respond.

Thank you @Former-Member and @Shaz51
Hi @Former-Member
Not too good. Had to take 2 prn
I dont think people realise the consequences of accumulated masses of trauma. I took son to Centrlink cos it was cancelled. We fixed it, but he was anxious and frustrated, and I got him through it but not without a relapse into trauma rocking and quiet tears .. massive SI .. crying in the street waiting for him at another appointment. 2 nice people in a car asked me if I was ok.. and I waved them off.
It is just taking too long to get help and I am just too much of a case. Sorry I cant be chipper atm
but thanks for tagging me

Centrelink were actually good and managed it all fine even though it was lack of lodgement that caused cancellation. He got over a $1000. I feel upset that its because of me my son is in this position in queues and anxious and depressed and annoyed. I have lived so cheaply on so little I appreciate Centrelink and today the ladies were nice .. I dont want to just blame them.. its a hard job.
I have tried to arrange for a good January for us both, but I am spinning out with anxiety as my neck went out yesterday and he gets upset if I ask him to calm down, I have days of train travel ahead ... breathe deeply walk and do stretches.

Oh @Appleblossom. I'm so sorry you've had to go through this again. Serious Centrelink must account for so much stress and distress. I have already started to panic about my next assessment IN February. And yes I've SH because of an appointment with them before both before and after appointments.
Are you still going away? Is there anything to look forward to at the moment? You could do with a break from stressful situations. And you don't need to be chipper, just however your feeling at the time. Time to be gentle on you, you deserve some kindness.
sending loads of hugs 💜🤗

Hi @Appleblossom
Sounds like an awful day. Centrelink is tough at any time, let alone when you're struggling. But glad to hear that things are sorted for your son.. is that one less thing to worry over in planning for going away.
I hope that your time away and travel will be ok. Hopefully your neck will start to ease up a bit.
Agree with teej, there's definitely no obligation to be 'chipper'. you deserve to be heard and cared for when things are wrong. I wish that there was more support available to you right now. i wonder if it would be worth seeing your gp before you go away? do you have enough meds and what not? Will you use helplines like lifeline/sane help line/suicide call back if you need while away?

Thanks @Shimmer
and @Former-Member & @Former-Member\I am back home.
I will be staying communal dorm in boarding house houth hostel and sleeping on train. I think I will just be quiet & polite, not be toutgoing. Yes I have meds. It costs too much to pull out .. and this is the thing I have been looking forward to .. Not sure I will feel comfortable calling phone lines .. but I will be doing lots of music .. even a rendition of Sunday in the Park with George .. & a fun Star Wars number.
I am going to log off and cant come online much, but I will be back end of Jan.
