APPROACHING SURE?

APPROACHING SURE?

I had a drive into the country yesterday to attend a christmas lunch with people that I did not really know. I am needing to process what happened. If anyone would like to respond.

Re: APPROACHING SURE?

Hi @Appleblossom, how did Bach go last night? Cleared the lungs maybe.
Thats pretty good, chatted chatting an hour with your brother. Is he back in Germany? Sounds strong, fighting the cancer (hope I got that right)/ I feel for u with losing him too, your last remaining sibling. When my son lost his only sibling he actually said "I feel all alone in the world now" I've been encouraging him to link in with cousins and friends. When my sis cut me off I prayed and was directed to building up relationships with a couple of cousins, and find more friends. I hope your daughter comes back into your life, be praying for that for you. Gosh, relationships are the hardest thing in life, hey

Your son sounds like he has a lovely disposition to life (mostly), and surprising you with fixing music stand (boys are good at that sort of stuff). Being happy or at peace sure does help our creative problem solving brain function. Sometimes our kids surprise us. A moment worth being around for. You're a good mum.

You said " hope you are settling back home in a good way .. take in all the familiar stuff .. that you have collected into a home .. that suits you" and "give dog rubdown pat from me..."
Yep, just did it - gave the dog a rub down pat as I red it. Easy as he's up on the bed with me, very clingy lately. Reminding myself of all MY stuff around was a good tip too. Yep - your 'puddy tat' haha I reckon pets have a 7th sense or something & read us well - no way he's gonna let you promote petting a dog lol. And, nothing wrong with sharing pork chop with our pets, the affection they have for us alone is worth many treats.

Started this reply last night, requires much focus I don't always have soz.

Oh, my boss just answered my yesterdays tx msg that I'm back and wish to resume my hours. She wants me to pop into the shop for cuppa today so (now i'm anxious of a rejection) so hope that goes well and she hasn't decided to 'flick' me for taking 3wks leave so suddenly re mum. So tempting not to bother and just hide at home away from the world. You know what I mean? But will push through the anxiety and go in. You're brave going to choir etc.

Well, now I have a reason to get up, dress up and front up and need to get moving so check in later. You have a good day Apple, xox

Re: APPROACHING SURE?

Thanks @Shaz51

@Former-Member Your reply was beautiful.

The problem with my son is that he had been a hands off boy .. since about 4 years old ..only thing his hands touched was computer (and food).. and it worried me as he backed himself too much into the cyberworld and had learned helplessness .. re physical stuff ... he has rarely fixed anything .. even on my computers .. he would just "let go" and couldnt work through fustration much ... but this is a big win .. bigger than the stand .. it is an "I can do it" moment that willl form basis of fixing other stuff that comes up.

Yeah .. love our fur family.

You do "get" me, when I am being serious and when I am silly.

my son said I shouldnt try to be funny .. cos I am NOT GOOD at it ...but then realsied I was so nerdy that I could identify with the nerd guy in Peep Show and not worry about the critical feminst pov .. which we thought would over-ride .. and have not like the show .. maybe its just a mood .. but I could relate to the guy .. without being attracted to the girl ...weird ??

I do now have the urge to be light-hearted .. so hope I dont make too many boo-boos as I practise .. on the forum ..

Convo with brother was ok .. he is still in Sydney atm.

Thanks for praying about my daughter .. it ALL helps .. even by giving me moral support ..I dont want to forget about her ... or pretend that she does not exist cos people might judge me ..I also have a sister .. she was born after the orphanage events and is also "not talking" to me. That stuff is outside my control so I have to offer it up to God.

HOPE your coffee goes well ... Yes gradually we get back into the world ... maybe one day you will even sing again ...

Re: APPROACHING SURE?

Thanks @Former-Member for flowers and thoughts

I just soldier on .. peaceful warrior mostly ...

I received a confusing letter in mail today from NSW dept justice .. I called them .. it was just meaning saying I was entitled to more counselling hours ... weird .. but got me thinking and talking to them about the injustice I endured from the lawyer lady in my church leading up to Christmas eve ..

I said I just wanted her to know she should not behave like that and say sorry. Even if she is a lawyer and her husband is a judge.

Counselling section of V ictim Services told me to contact Victoria VIctim Services and lodge a claim

Did so .. but they said could not manage it as it was not physical ... even if it was serious and had big impact on me ...but said I should definitely report it .. best in person and at the local city police station

SO asking for forum help .. for moral support ..to ensure that I dont let it go ..

how about deadline .. do it by end of month ??

I still need to be available for son a lot .. but on a day when I am fired up .. not feeling beaten and defeated .. I can front up there ...also as a battle to deal with stigma

as her behaviour effectively made a mockery of the steps towards reconciliation that the Royal Commission are attemtping .. just for some petty grandstanding ..

I am secure in new choirs now .. so thats the singing outlet managed ,,, but ..

this type of behaviour has been problematic for so many people.. on the forum .. and including my father and 2 dead sibs.

Re: APPROACHING SURE?

@Appleblossom

Can I suggest you report this issue to the police sooner rather than later. I find if I delay doing that sort of thing I eventually manage to convince myself that it really wasn't that bad and then I start getting embarrassed and end up doing nothing.

The Victorian Police appear to take a very proactive and active stance on these matters. I'd be very surprised if you didn't find them understanding and helpful.

Thinking of you 💕 🎶

Re: APPROACHING SURE?

Hey @Appleblossom sorry I keep dropping out of the LE forum. Went awol again.

Anyway jst checking in to see how you are feeling about it now. I wouldn't have thought about going to the police but as you said it was a serious incident that needs to be addressed. We seem to be making small steps towards it in schools but not much as adults. Wishing you the best whatever you decide
