Hi l am just feeling so low at the moment and Christmas time is so tough. It's my birthday today and for the second year in a row l haven't heard from any family including my kids and l will be alone again tomorrow. It makes me feel so bad and down that no body cares even though l haven't upset anybody and still love my kids and would do anything for them .l just don't know how long it will go on for.

I'm hearing you. I'm not a parent so I don't know what it's like to have estranged children. However, as a child, I was estranged from my family for 10 years.
Then, when I was ready, I reached out.

Happy Birthday wishes to you @john74. Sorry you’re feeling so blue, I know how hard it is. I heard from my estranged daughter today. Sent her some money for Xmas and she made the effort to txt me asking for more $$$. What is a difficult time of year seriously slid even further downhill after that. But what to do? Enjoy your roast lamb tomorrow and know you’re being thought of even if it is by complete strangers on an online forum. Merry Christmas and may 2024 be a better year for us all 🙏

Thanks @NatureLover l didn't hear from the kids not sure if l ever will and if l attempt to speak to my ex will just stir things up again. I don't believe kids should have to make a choice between parents but my ex unfortunately bullies and threatens people to keep her control over people.
