A Poem? Maybe?

A Poem? Maybe?

Hurt, Lost, Broken

My life is in tatters, my dreams have crumbled around me

I had the life, i had it all

How did i fail

How did i fall

Cruising through life, using everything i could

To keep myself moving

To keep myself high

The ups are fantastic, the best place to be

Altho i could never see the disease

The illness taking over me

No treatment

No plan

No help

Just searching for the high that evaded me

Using this drug and that

To maintain that happy place

When in reality

I was just wasting space

Broken and tired

My life in ruins

How stupid of me to believe

That i was as fantastic as i could be

Tortured now, by the memories

The lows, so low some will never know

How quickly life changes

When everything crumbles and falls in a heap

Now i am lonely

Now i am unloved

Now i have no peace

No place

No love from the one i hurt so much

I still miss her dearly

And altho i know we will never be

I can always hope it untrue

A dream to awaken from

Faith only blames me

Treatment only dulls me

Pain is all i feel

Hate of myself is all i can think

Why did i not notice

How could i not see

Why did this happen

Unanswered questions just for me

The hardest part of it all

Is knowing i will never get to say goodbye

To those who were closest to me

All hope is lost

No freedom for me

Forever trapped in this hellhole

I hope not for an eternity

Thank you

Sorry i just needed to write

Re: A Poem? Maybe?

My Dear friends on this Forum,

Again thank you to everyone's support and well wishes, very much appreciated.

So, i hear you all ask, what was thee outcome of all this mess you created back last year.

I was not too sure how much help legal aid were going too be, as i had trouble with them all last week, today tho, i arrived a little early, waited and waited and waited some more, then i got too meet the lawyer representing me, and we ran through the statements and stuff.

so i got there at 10:30am, case scheduled for 11am..... well not really courts are weird with the way they work, as i found out, came back after lunch at 2pm, case was heard at 3:30pm, feeling quite worn out and strung out emotionally and physically but keeping it together because i had my parent's with me.

Lawyer got two charges dropped, i pleaded guilty to thee other two, judge was understanding of thee impact of mental illness, being bipolar and the associated increased risk of using drugs, and the outcome

12 months Good behaviour Bond and a fine too thee courts - Best possible outcome for me, i am so relieved, i thank thee fact that since it all falling apart i have been arduosly pushing to get myself back on track, getting thee right help from Gp, psychologist and psychiatrist and also seeking out D and A help on my own as well.

I thank the forums for helping me keep on track with these things as i know i have struggled in the past.

I will have a good sleep tonight, probably the first one in months

Thank you

Dearest @kato

That is such wonderful news! So I got my wish and your mum's best mother's day present came today. You must be so exhausted and relieved. I'm really pleased to hear that the Magistrate "got it". And of course well done you for all your hard work in seeking help, taking responsibility, and trying all you can to be well and improve on the things which have been catalysts for your MI.

I know what you mean about the way the court works. I had the same thing when I was asked by SOCA to appear at the Magistrate's Court for the IVO against my little one's dad. I was told to be there by 9, 9.30 at latest. It wasn't heard until after lunch. I was absolutely wrecked and I only had a kind lady from Safe Futures to support me, and of course she was fairly busy with several others there for similar issues. I felt like a train wreck by the time I drove home.

Have a relaxing evening and a peaceful night's sleep.

Hope for grace endures...

Kindest regards,

Kristin

Thinking about you today and sending you soft rays of light.....we are called your dear friends and .,,your our dear friend!
You give out kindness ....it's good the court recognised your difficult journey, your genuine remorse, your basic eagerness to change your life by seeking your own D & A help.

Thanks for the message,, love what other messages to you too!

Hi @kato

Sorry, I'm a little late to this discussion - have had some time off the Forums.

But what a lovely news to come back to, and even more lovely to see how the community was there for you during a difficult time. It's so wonderful to see.

Re: A Poem? Maybe?

They say time heals all wounds

I ask how much time It takes

My physical pain hasn't become less

My mental pain hasn't become less

Have I come to terms with the life of pain

Or have I just come up with ways to hide it all even from myself

As I lie to myself and the world I have become that lie

I argue with my demons

I argue with myself

I argue with the world

I have to accept what I am to move forward

I am not whole in body or mind

The body will never be

The pain will never lessen this will only say or get worse oh the fun to look too?

The mind will charge will it be better or just more hurdles?

I now understand how some say stop this is now too much and no value to keeping up the fight

I will keep fighting for I have a reason she's the one that makes me want to get up and take on the next day

Karen is my light I goto when I can't believe that I can go that one more step

Karen is my angel that is always there

I don't know how long this time it takes to heal or if it ever will

The only way to kwow is to keep taking another step.
