Sometimes I feel like I’m on top of things and don’t feel like my trauma defines me and I don’t feel so ashamed and scared. Other times I want to hide from the world and feel like a **** (I’m not going to say the word here since I don’t want to trigger anyone) 😭, I feel so ashamed that I don’t want people to know
@RiverSeal, there is the box method. I’m a bit less agitated, but still feel the agitation crawling in me. It’s exhausting. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I always seem to end up here. I also just realised I didn’t get around to having the PRN yet, mind has been jumping everywhere

The box method is good @creative_writer and if it works for you, I encourage you to practice it. I'm glad to hear that you are a bit less agitated. Falling back into familiar patterns can be automatic even when they are unhelpful sometimes. When we acknowledge how we are feeling we can make decisions on what action to take, and it sounds like you are doing this which is great. What has gotten you through these times in the past? Re: Oscillation between two mind sets
@RiverSeal, I’ve just taken PRN and popped some amber blue light blocking glasses. Mind still feels active, it’s calming down a bit. Things have been more rough lately, and SI has been a more common occurrence. I hadn’t had SI for a few days but then it returned. I’m okay and safe, but I don’t know what kind of life this is. It’s about calming that agitation through PRN, darkened room, and relaxation

Blue light blocking glasses are good @creative_writer and I use them too for the computer. Thank you for letting me know that you are okay and safe. The way life is now doesn't have to be the same forever and you might find it changes as you work on your recovery over time. Doing what works for you now is what you need and it's great that you have the insight to know what that is. Take care RiverSeal

@RiverSeal, I wish someone could tell me that bipolar would go away, I don’t want to be stuck with this. When things go off balance, it affects my physical health and cptsd gets worse 😢

Re: Oscillation between two mind sets
Our diagnoses may not go away @creative_writer but we can learn to cope and live our lives with or without symptoms. We are all different though with what we need and what works for us, so we need to find our own way in recovery. Where you are now doesn't have to be forever and you can move along in the recovery journey. What else can you do for yourself rn that can help you feel better about things? RiverSeal

Hey @creative_writer I have been following along the last few weeks but haven't popped in here as you have been receiving amazing support. I just want to add my support and love for everything you are going through. From experience, I know just how hard both the emotional and physical pains are and you are doing the best you can for the moment. It does not mean this will always be how it is and I have full faith in you getting through this and building that life you so deserve. Hugs and hugs sweetheart ❤️
