Lego anyone?

Lego anyone?

Lego has changed so much over the years and the possibilities are endless as to what you can create…. With the help of a box or bricks and some instructions… or maybe you’re just super creative!

I love building Lego, it’s therapeutic and relaxing. And there is always a wow at the end as I finally complete a set.

who else enjoys it? What have you built?

I hope this space inspires others to give it a go!

Re: Lego anyone?

woahhh that looks amazing!! @Former-Member they're so much bigger than i expected, and i imagine they took some time to put together, really cool stuff!!

i was looking at a couple Star Wars lego sets too, the spaceships seem like a fun challenge (but once again, the price isn't so fun 😆)

@Bow those botanical ones are soooo pretty!! and loving the castles too, amazing!! i want to eventually do the hogwarts castle.

@Captain24 the ones i've done so far are much smaller sets, under 500 pieces. now i'm really keen to save up for something with 1000+ pieces!!

It is expensive @rav3n. There is so many new ones I want but just don’t have the money right now. So lots of saving for me too. Maybe around the end of October I’ll be able to afford some more

I’ve just saved some money by not having psych appointments so I guess that’s something @rav3n

The brick bears that I mentioned and shared pics of are expensive, as Tyme mentioned, and are cheap ‘copies’ of Brick Bears sold under an entire different company name, Winktoys. Price of one set of blocks and instructions to build one bear from Winktoys can be at least A$100.

edit

I was about to start process of requesting refund on 3 bears I’ve bought (one is from Temu) as couldn’t get the pieces to hold together. After watching quite a few YouTube videos last night I saw what I wasn’t doing. Going to be slow process sliding the ‘teeth’ on the bricks together. 45mins this morning and I’ve finished one row. Definitely won’t come apart easily

@tyme @Captain24 @Bow @rav3n

5 rounds per step, 14 steps to build mauve teddy bear in purple overalls 😀😀

Re: Lego anyone?

That sounds expensive @Former-Member.

Thats a lot of time. At least it’ll fill in time while you are in hospital. I find when it’s fiddly the time passes and you don’t think of anything else. Your mind is to occupied.

Thank god for YouTube. It comes in handy. I didn’t know how to thread my new whipper snipper so i YouTubed it to.

Re: Lego anyone?

@Bow that's such a lovely set, even if it isn't lego brand! do you find that the instructions are easier/harder when it's not an original lego brand?

@Former-Member ooo i'm excited to see how the bear turns out!!

also a quick question - is it normal for lego sets to have some extra pieces? i just finished another set yesterday (knight bus from harry potter) and i kept second guessing if i skipped a page in the instructions or if it was normal to have around 10 lil pieces left over?

Re: Lego anyone?

Yes that’s normal @rav3n. They are all little pieces. They have come in handy for me when I drop them and Jett decides to eat them before I can find them.
