Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

or the garden, or wherever.

Just wanted to make this thread so I can write whatever I want and talk to people without taking over everyone else’s threads or like derailing conversations for everyone else.
just gonna post what I would normally post elsewhere but all in the one place I guess

whoever wants to respond can and is welcome (I hate just talking to myself)

Re: Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

and you know what? I have been treated like that MY ENTIRE LIFE I HAVE BEEN BULLIED FOR EXISTING MY ENTIRE LIFE
I thought it would die down in a group of full adults when I’m 28 but I was clearly wrong

Hey @ArraDreaming ,

But also remember, you went out not long ago, and you had a great time. Don't let this one person (whom you have only met once in your life) ruin you.

Rather, focus on those who DO matter to you and those who you have met more than once!

I hear it hurts now and it may take some time to heal. This is because we are human. Just like the really difficult events I experienced early this week. I couldn't have thrown in the towel and quit life, but I didn't. I sat with the hurt, and when it was time, I debriefed with someone to get closure.

You can do it too. It doesn't mean you will never get hurt - it's about what you are going to do now as a 28 year old - raise above it? or let it make you a hermit.

I don’t want to keep thinking about it and thinking about much it hurt in that moment but I can’t @tyme
So stupid that I always over think these things over and over

Yes, and the more you try and not think about it, the more your brain will think about it @ArraDreaming

It took about 3 days for me to move on from what happened for me earlier this week.

I'm sharing to let you know that the rumination of these thoughts is a perfectly human way of behaving. It's not because you are stupid or a 'loser'.

If it happened today, it might feel a bit raw to talk about? Otherwise I'm here if you want to talk about how it felt then and after.

You mentioned you were made to feel like an idiot in front of others. Do you know for certain that people felt this way about you? I'm wondering whether they thought it about the other person instead?

Words can hurt. We know that @ArraDreaming . Now it's about how to heal so you don't let the person keep you down. You are better than that.

Re: Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

And the part of me that has a sense of justice is angry that they even thought that was ok and that they just went about their day as if they didn’t just humiliate somebody?
I wish I had stood up for myself but also I knew I didn’t want to be that person that made a scene, they made one and I just stood their and copped it, I could have stood up for myself but also standing there and copping it and not responding probably also sends a message.
It shook me enough that I just walked over to one of my kids and just sat next to him, with my back to everyone else because I was embarrassed buts all I could do.

It’s not that I think everyone else thought I was an idiot, it’s that this person made me feel like one @tyme
