Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

or the garden, or wherever.

Just wanted to make this thread so I can write whatever I want and talk to people without taking over everyone else’s threads or like derailing conversations for everyone else.
just gonna post what I would normally post elsewhere but all in the one place I guess

whoever wants to respond can and is welcome (I hate just talking to myself)

Boring??? Hell NO!

You add sugar and spice and all things nice to convos lol @ArraDreaming

I'll be off now, but it's not because you are 'boring'. Coz you're not.

Re: Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

I don’t like admitting hurt in front of people at the time and I have become pretty good at pretending things dont hurt but today i was humiliated in front of a lot of people for trying to do something nice and made to feel so much less than everyone else and the other person moved on like nothing happened and I have not stopped thinking about how hurt I am from their comment and the fact that they pretended nothing happened almost straight after

this is why I don’t do social things

Re: Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

That sounds tough @ArraDreaming .

I'm sorry to hear how hurt you are, especially when you are trying to get out more.

In the past, I remember using the avoidance tactic where I'd avoid social situations altogether 'just in case' I got hurt.... yes it works, but in the long run, I was left feeling alone and isolated.

So yes, being social has risks attached, but you also need to be willing to launch out into the deep the experience the benefits of being more social.

But yes, I acknowledge how hard it must have been for you today.

I'm here if you want to chat.

I wanted to pack up and go but I just had to pretend I was fine because my family was there and they were having fun @tyme
My wife was only one of a few who didn’t witness because she was in a different room with one of our kids
This is why i choose to stay home even though i want to have friends it’s easier to stay home @tyme
When someone calls out for name in a room full of people, blames you for something and just generally makes you feel like shit, and inconvenience and an idiot in front of everyone else there isn’t a lot of incentive to go back and socialise again

Re: Jay5’s Thoughts from the garage

it’s one of those things that hard to move on from well for me anyway, we ended leaving but I still thought about it driving the whole way home then came home and thought about it again while I was playing with my kids, and now I’m thinking about it again @tyme
