Good morning!
It looks like it's been a while since anyone's said Good Morning to each other. Perhaps we can start it up again, wish each other a good morning and encourage each other to have a good day 😉.

Hello @Kyle1
I learnt a new yoga meditation posture that stops worries, fears and feelings of uncertainty. According to this yogi it balances the pranic winds in the body by bringing the nervous/glandular system into balance. I have had to use it a lot lately and it makes me feel stronger within myself and able to face life with more courage.
This was put out as a free session for the solar eclipse last week. The meditation begins at 58:39 minutes so you have to scroll the video forwards to get to the meditation I'm talking about. The meditation consists of raising your hands to heart level with your elbows out and arms parallel to the floor. You put the right hand over your left with thumbs touching over your heart. You then do breathwork. Its all demonstrated in the video and the meditation isn't long.
I wondered whether this would work for you? Just a suggestion. Its kept my fears and worries intact as of late

Thats great @JRMum I'm thrilled that its worked for you! Nothing better than feeling empowered. Life can easily drag us down. Theres so much uncertainty in the world now and many people are being impacted in a variety of ways. I now do yoga on a regular basis so I can face life with greater balance. Its really difficult out there but we are in control of our responses even though we may feel we are at times floundering. I'm glad someone out there has benefitted from this information! 🙂

Hi @Arbie_wun !
Good afternoon to you too 😊. 2.30pm...does that put you in WA? It's only around 1pm for me.

Look at the sky. Today you sit in your car under a brilliant blue sky

hi there, @Former-Member
Yes. I sat beneath the blue for a half hour more and then was able to move on: the singular motivation was needing to use the toilet! (talk about being a sensate type 😆)...
So I dropped in to the nearest Cafe, and thought I'd simmer down with a cappuccino (it might sound ironic, but I often find it soothing)
By the time I left, an hour later, I was feeling downright depressed.
And part of that was feeling depressed for feeling depressed again! After being frozen with anxiety... And feeling utterly useless in the face of all this topsy-turvey stuff! So much so, only halfway along on my drive back home I actually stopped roadside and called SANE's counselling service.
They were very supportive, and once home I simply fell asleep like a baby...
One thing I've noticed on my breakdance journey with mental illness is the secondary thought process that goes on top of it, like an overdub. And though I notice it, I'm just as powerless to stop it as I am the feelings that surge beneath...
And in that comes, still, a horrible, defeating sense of shame.
"Go easy on yourself", I've had it said. "Learn self compassion".
Easier said than done...
So I'm imagining at present there might be just one of two ways to wellness for me: become so preoccupied with outward behaviour that I evolve quickly into a workaholic, dying of hypertension in just 3 years. Or, I wake up one day, and with some clever sleight of subconscious posture, my mind will be renewed in such a momentous twinkling of an eye, you might believe the magnetic poles themselves had flipped!
The alternative would be to grind and fizzle slowly along this current course, bound for nowhere but pitiful decay...and I just don't think I can do that for much longer.
So it is my weakness and my strength to keep believing in a fantasy. To avoid emoliation, and (apparently) to manifest a new reality. To be an 'imagineer'. To dream on...
Simple pleasure, no. 7 and a half:

@Kyle1 I slept like a baby last night (Tuesday eve), tonight (Wednesday eve ) I’m feeling feverish and restless and sleep evades me. Your writing is…I feel helpless when I can’t…I’ll stop writing. For good.

hmm... must be an eclipse or something, @Former-Member
I can't sleep either. 😕
Don't stop writing, please.
You're clearly a thoughtful and articulate communicator🙏
I sincerely hope your present state and lack of rest doesn't blow the coming day too far out of whack for you ✨️
