Good morning!

Good morning!

It looks like it's been a while since anyone's said Good Morning to each other. Perhaps we can start it up again, wish each other a good morning and encourage each other to have a good day 😉.

Re: Good morning!

Good morning @Kyle1 ,

What are you fearful about this morning?

Re: Good morning!

I'm not sure... @JRMum

I'm just feeling panicked .

I've driven down into town to drop the kids at the bus stop, and am stuck in my car, to anxious to drive off. And it's quite upsetting.

Someone has peeled 2 dozen onions inside my head, or something...

@Kyle1 ,

What are you thinking? What are you saying in your head that's stopping you from driving off?

Re: Good morning!

well...

I am overwhelmed with this feeling.

And if I can recognise a thought in there it is I don't want anyone to see me.

At the same time, I wish someone would...really see me

Does that make sense @JRMum

Re: Good morning!

The important thing I thing @Kyle1 is to get you safely home.

I know what that means, to want to be seen. It's really hard to spend your life looking as though you are managing and coping, when inside you're just not. For me, having MH support is so important. Do you have someone you can really talk with?

Not wanting to be seen - that sounds like social anxiety. Do you suffer from it? That feeling that everyone's looking at you? When this happens to me, I try and remember that every person I look at are all having their own set of issues and worries, just like me. They are far too concerned about their own lives to be worried about me and mine.

What I would do is make a plan - not to get home, but just take the time to tell yourself you'll just drive down the road a way. Make your goal manageable - just go to the end of the street. Then, when you get there, make another goal - get to the next street. See if you can break up 1 large goal into smaller pieces.

I know you can do it. I'm right here, I'm supporting you and cheering you on.

Re: Good morning!

yeah...like "how do you eat an elephant?"

"One bite at a time" ...

I think youre right. Thank you @JRMum

Yes, I am diagnosed with anxiety, depression, ptsd... (among other medical concerns)

You wouldn't believe how beautifully blue the sky is here today...

I may just need a half hour more.

I've just moved into a new area and don't know a soul. And my impression of this place is that everyone is too busy and sterile to greet a newbie

Re: Good morning!

You need some time? That's perfectly fine - take it!

I know you can do this.

The sky is also so very blue here today. I'm in Qld, where are you?

I'm only 5 months into a new area myself. It's hard to 'break into the scene'. I went onto the community's Facebook page and said I was new and introduced myself. I quickly found there were others who were also new and knew no one. It might be harder as a guy. Not sure. I'm trying to go to community events and get into things.
