Something’s not right

Nothing feels real

Nothing feels real

I had a migraine triggered yesterday from barely sleeping and still recovering from it. I slept better last night, mind still feels very foggy. This morning I felt discomfort in my body, my mind went to when I used to feel it years ago. Then I noticed myself feeling distant, sort of floaty. I hope I can get through the day today with uni

Re: Nothing feels real

@Snowie, I’ll be wearing my loungewear 🙂. Sweats are so soft and cozy. I don’t have zoom turned on the whole day, only for some parts of the day. I doubt anyone will care what I am wearing, I don’t need to be put together if I’ve been sick. I’m so lazy at home, the only makeup I do for zoom is lip. While my peer, she does a full face.

What about you? What kind you work do you do?

Anything that is comfy is my go to @creative_writer I'm not one to get dressed up or put make up on either.

I am a teacher, secondary mainly. I taught for a long time and then got into the administrative side of it. I haven't worked for awhile now due to my mental health. I am hoping I can get back to it one day.

@Snowie, taking time off it totally okay. I’ve taken time off from uni before due to illness, and took lower loads. I had to postpone my placement to this year because my MH was so bad last year during the placement period. A break isn’t always bad either. I know you can work through your MH and bounce forward and become stronger 💖. MH struggles can make you more empathetic, and a better worker 🙂

I know I could get work wherever I want too @tyme This country is crying out for teachers. There are shortages everywhere.

I have had to take time off work due to some incidences that happened in the work place. I would like to go back but not right now. I wouldn't be able to cope with it.

@creative_writer I think some people don't realise how much our mental health can affect us. It can take a really big toll on studying and/or working. I hope you are able to work through your MH too.

Going to head off and do some self care before I go to bed. I really hope that you feel better tomorrow and that those meds kick in. Take care of you.

Fair enough @Snowie . I guess going back to it can stir up a lot of trauma. High school is not easy to take, especially if you are going in to be a relief teacher or something.

Glad yesterday went ok @creative_writer and you were able to get some of your uni work completed. Self care is so nice to do. Did some for myself too.

Hoping today goes well too.
