Something’s not right

Nothing feels real

Nothing feels real

I had a migraine triggered yesterday from barely sleeping and still recovering from it. I slept better last night, mind still feels very foggy. This morning I felt discomfort in my body, my mind went to when I used to feel it years ago. Then I noticed myself feeling distant, sort of floaty. I hope I can get through the day today with uni

@Snowie, i hope the antibiotics help too. Feeling really weak and headachy right now.

I don’t think the nurse can do much if it’s psychological. Breathing might help though. It’s really shouldn’t be a big deal, it’s just a little pressure that is insanely annoying. May seem like an overreaction, but the memories associated with it aren’t good

I can understand that @creative_writer It is hard when our mental state has an affect on our physical health. It really is all connected to each other. Your sickness wouldn't be helping either.

Have you got anything to try and distract yourself? I have been on the forum, watching some tv and ironing. Sounds boring but has kept me distracted today.

@Snowie, I want to say uni, but I don’t know if that’s a good idea right now since I’m starting to feel headachy, I feel too weak to get up and do anything. I probably should do something to keep my mind off things, maybe something that isn’t so mentally challenging

Sometimes our bodies just need rest @creative_writer especially if we are sick. The same is with our mental health, there are times where we just need a break from it.

Even if it is just watching some tv. I have also been listening to "Moment of relaxation with Andrew Johnson". It has helped relax me and you can listen to it free on you tube.

@Snowie, I feel very burnt out from the week. I pushed through uni as a means of distraction, it became my coping strategy. I am very exhausted now and can barely get up for dinner even though I probably should eat

Can relate to that burnt out feeling @creative_writer You have had a busy week and being sick on top of that has probably depleted your energy levels.

Perhaps even something easy for dinner like toast. Doesn't have to be fancy.

Just went and picked up take away for the kids and hubby. Couldn't be bothered cooking either.

@Snowie, I really need to feel okay by tomorrow. I took fish out of the freezer. Making food beforehand always helps. What kind of takeaway are you having?

Re: Nothing feels real

All you can do is take it one day at a time @creative_writer Hopefully your meds work soon and you start to feel better. Have you got uni on tomorrow?

Fish sounds nice for tea.

We just had thai for tea. Kids love it, so nice and easy for me.

@Snowie, I have uni, but doing it all from home tomorrow. I am in no shape okay going in, it’ll take one hour to get there and an hour to get back. Travelling is exhausting. I wouldn’t drive to Melbourne CBD, it wouldn’t be much quicker during peak hours anyways and the parking is annoying.

Thai sounds lovely, I had Thai last week

Re: Nothing feels real

It's good that you can do uni from home @creative_writer Do you have to set up a video link or can you do it in your pj's? I would live in mine if I had the choice. 😁

I agree, driving in Melb CBD is annoying and parking is a nightmare. I'm glad I have never had to work in the city or go to uni in there. Would take me over an hour with public transport too.
