Thanks @Faith-and-Hope, how's your adventure going? Is there a particular thread your putting updates? Jetlag takes about a week to settle I'm told, and I'm sure there's son Celtic wisdom to get over your post viral fatigue How's WH coping with his obcessive routines while travelling? A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Hadn't thought to start a new thread ....

Re: Far and Away

Well ... started some clean up around here ....

I wrote on another post somewhere that my house is looking burgled .... :face_with_rolling_eyes: ... and has xploding cases in it where the owners don't want to unpack them, so consider rifling through them to be adequate for now .... :face_with_rolling_eyes: ...

So I'm just drifting around pretending it's okay .... cos otherwise my stress levels start climbing - not a good pairing with metabolic syndrome .... and putting things into order around me for a while, start the washing machine, then leave home ....

Today "leaving home" was walking down to the local coffee shop and catching up with a friend I see every few months. She is a carer too .... her daughter developed a debilitating disability in her teens .... and my friend has fibromyalgia, so it's a daily struggle for her to hold everything together .... we commiserate with each other over a coffee when we get the chance.

Then it was back home to try to raise the baby dragons to some lunch .... D2 yes .... the other two to no avail ... both still with sleep issues, and I'm just gonna coast till WH is back up and away, and with the house coming back together, hopefully those two will too. Their teeth are not feeling sharp at the moment, which is nice .... and I'm getting some verbalised communication .... nice again .... so hopefully this year is off to a good start.

The girls and I had a thing on at D1's place tonight, and we're home again just now.

I'm much more settled about being back, and I think setting up my acrylics in the outdoor area near my bedroom to paint this week has something to do with that. It's giving me an anchor to focus on instead of just drifting around, treading water, and waiting for things to either collapse or settle .....

@Faith-and-Hope I do remember reading somewhere about your house being 'burgled' - did take a second look and then my shock was relieved
It seems you and your friend do a great job at holding everything together - my hat off to you!

I am really glad that you are feeling a lot more settled about being back. When WH leaves you will be able to get stuck into your painting and feel yourself relaxing even more

Re: Far and Away

I might even be able to take a trip down south with the kids to paint .... have to talk it out with them yet .... and it will depend on S2 and uni .... but I mentioned to WH that I would like to enter a landscape competition this year, and want to paint images from the southern region. It doesn't suit him to go down there, so if we go while he is away, it's suiting all of us, and getting the rest of us focussed on our art.

Re: Far and Away

Did S2 get his paperwork done for Uni?

I didn't realise your kids were arty as well - what do they like? An art trip together sounds great!

Not sure whether you read but I had a minor meltdown late this afternoon and managed to pull myself back up before it got out of control - didn't even use the forum!!!!! Even did some housework...

Might try and tackle the spare room tomorrow if I am feeling ok

@Faith-and-Hope what are your plans for tomorrow?

Hi @Pepsimax .... 😊💕

If you don't want to join us here, we can come to you ....

@Zoe7 .... I'm going through back posts and haven't come to that yet .... but well done ❣

That's huge .... 🤗✅👍🏼💐

Did you find doing some housework helped you burn some of the stress build-up ?

I don't really have plans for tomorrow at this stage .... Probably a repeat of today, but with a river walk in there somewhere ....

Re: Far and Away

@Faith-and-Hope It did a little bit - the house not being so much of a mess certainly helped. I think what helped the most was that I had already started cleaning up when I started to have my 'meltdown' and so it was not a major thing at the time.

I am not feeling great so I better lay down - my body is still getting used to these meds and sometimes the side effects aren't good - nausea and dizziness mainly.

Will have to chat later...

Zoe
