Cat is back from the vet. She is going in for surgery on Thursday. The ultrasound showed that the mass is not on her kidney but small intestine and it hasn't spread anywhere else. Her regular vet is going to do the operation but there will be a specialist at the clinin that day also so if it is in a difficult spot then she will hand over to the specialist. I have full faith in her to do the operation but also faith she will hand over if need be. They will need to keep her in the clinic for a couple of days but I can visit her ...and they are open Saturday morning so that hopefully when I can pick her up.
This is way more positive than I could have hoped for - it could even still be benign. They will do a biopsy on the day and if we need to can go down the road of chemo. I have a little hope back. It is very expensive but I have spoken to my Mum and sister and they are going to help whatever it costs. My wonderful sister wants to cash in an investment she has to help pay for it.
I have also to take Toby in next week to get his teeth cleaned and twice daily drops for his ear. The vet is holding over all the bills for me so I can pay it all at once - she offered for me to pay it off over time but with the help from my sister and mum we will do it all at once.
I have my appointment with HR this Wednesday morning and then pdoc in the afternoon. Hoping to have a better idea of what is happening for me next year before I go to the pdoc. I haven't been sleeping either so will talk to pdoc about that - worrying about Cat has certainly added to that.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me these last few days - it may not mean a lot to some but it has meant the world to me. I know that it is not over yet but I now have some hope and all you sitting with me through this has kept me going - no replies or words needed - just a lot of love from me, Cat and Toby for all of you
