Cat is still in the kennel @Faith-and-Hope - she puts her head up when I walk past then goes back to sleep. The sun isn't all the way around for her yet but when it is I'll get a photo 😺💕
I have been out in the garage: moved all the timber off the shelves and leaning against the shelves, moved the shelves up (as they are simple slats and slits), put all the timber back on the higher shelf and moved all the larger pieces onto the shelf below. I now have a completely clear wall where everything used to be stacked.
I also made the decision to throw out all the papier mache snails and minions - that actually frees up 2 whole shelves. There is no point hanging onto them - they are all damaged and I cannot see me ever using them again. It is actually a bit of a relief to make that decision and free up more space - one decision I could actually nake this weekend hey!
Toby has of course been supervising but also likes to sit at the driveway gate and watch people go past. As long as he can still see me he is happy. Of course he is now inside on the couch next to me while I have a break.
It was hard work moving all the timber on the shelves and there is still more to go that is stacked in the driveway. I have another couple of big things to move inside the garage before I can stack that on the shelves though then the old table it is all stacked on can go to the tip as well. I may need 2 trips to the tip as the trailer is already pretty highly stacked. I also have a really large papier mache mushroom top which is around 2 1/2 metres in radius. I will use that as a cover on the trailer before I tie it all down. Have kept that for years tied to the roof of the garage but it may as well go now too.
It really is a big clean out but necessary - can't hold onto things that aren't important and no use looking back to what has been. What is important to me is right here with me - my fur babies, my family and my friends on here - that is enough.
