A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

That all sounds like a good plan and a lovely weekend @Faith-and-Hope You certainly deserve a night off too Hon - you have been working so hard but we all need a break from it all sometimes. You can take your time doing visual diary work and just enjoy the process - and you may even get some further ideas from events you go to over the weekend.

I have really done nothing all day. I picked up Toby after the vet, went to Petbarn to get his food (and didnt even take him in with me as I usually do) then visited my sister. Mum called in while I was there - she was going to come to my place too but didn't need to with us both being in the same place. She started to cry when I told her about Cat - that is when I left ...I couldn't handle it. Both my sister and Mum have said do what I need to do and don't worry about the money - that between them we will deal with that. I kind of new they would say that so that is not an issue - it really is what is best for my baby.

Re: Far and Away

Hugs accepted @Maggie I am trying to think about Cat and not myself but I want her around longer. I am grateful to have Toby snuggling in with me and whilst that doesn't take away the pain he is keeping me company. I have always loved having Cat come for her morning and night cuddles but the rest of the time she pretty much does her own thing - taken her for granted a bit - just thought she would always be here

@Zoe7 Yes, I look at my girl and hope she will be with me forever, but they have much shorter life spans than ours. Very unfortunate. More hugs @Zoe7 💕💜💕💜

Re: Far and Away

They are our little babies @Maggie and if Mags is anything like Cat and Toby ....very spoiled. I got Cat only 2 weeks after I lost my previous cat ...I wasn't going to evr get a cat again but the little cherub walked up to me and I fell in love with her ...Toby did exactly the same thing - they were both meant to be. I want her to have the surgery if that will make her better but there are no guarantees and especially as this lump has developed so quickly it doesn't sound good. The problem is we don't know how bad it is until they operate and do a biopsy and ultrasound then. The vet seems to think it will not be a favourable prognosis with how quickly it has occured ...so do I put her through all that or do we just make her remaining time comfortable ....so hard to decide - maybe some time will make it clearer and easier for me but somehow I don't think so.

Re: Far and Away

@Zoe7 It is a hard decision to have to make. No guarantees...... so hard. She’s a great age also.

Yes Mags is a spoilt girl. She’s my lifeline, and I’m her’s. I know how deeply you are feeling this right now. More hugs @Zoe7 I’m so feeling this with you. 💕💜💕💜

Re: Far and Away

She has just turned 11 - yesterday infact - so I certainly didn't expect this to be the outcome @Maggie My other baby was 14 and that was really sudden as well - within 3 months she went from being an active, healthy cat to going downhill quickly. The vet I took her to couldn't work out what was wrong with her - most likely a stroke which affected her being able to walk - then most likely another one which was the end for her. She died in my arms so at least she knew she was loved. I would rather Cat does the same than being on an operating table but then what if it gives her more time, what if it hasn't spread, and what if it is benign ...so much to think about. I want to give her the best quality of life and make sure she is not in pain ...if only they could talk it would be so much easier.

Re: Far and Away

I don't think I'm 'needy' with him (though it seems to suit most my family to see me that way, so they don't have to bother), stupid! I'm very independent and worry people might feel rejected by me, Especially moving all the time. I ask for nothing from them but staying in touch every couple of weeks. I don't thinks it's too much to ask. And I know I can't force it but get on with with trying to find other outlets to stop the isolation. Sorry your baby dragon is roaring today too. Pain?

Re: Far and Away

@Maggie I am going to head off for a while so will say goodnight to you now as it won't be long before you head off either I suspect. Thank you for being here with me tonight - I really am not feeling anything but that is probably a good thing. I'll keep you updated on what I decide and how Cat is Hugs to both you and Mags

@Faith-and-Hope I will try to check in with you later Hon. I hope you have worked out the public transport and are on your way home now. Give yourself the rest you deserve tonight and maybe get an early night if you can. I am going to lay down with Toby for a while then get Cat in from outside - maybe she will eat some biscuits then too.

Re: Far and Away

Oh no @Zoe7, sorry about your cat 😞 Such decisions are hard, and not a good time for you. All the best with meeting next week, be good to know what's coming. Hugzz💌

Re: Far and Away

I am home safe and sound @Zoe7 .... I figured it wouldn’t be too difficult, and it wasn’t.

I am glad you have the meeting sorted for next week too. You are an organised person, and it is frustrating that it can’t all be sorted out in the here and now, and locked in for next year. I hope it sorts out as smoothly as it can.

And I am hoping that Cat is not as bad as it might seem ..... hugs to all of you @Zoe7 , Cat, Toby ....

Hugs to you and Georgia too @Former-Member . It’s clear that you have a family who don’t “do” emotions very much, and are hard on the self-esteem, but you do what you can regardless. I hope your son grows into a greater appreciation for that, but he may well be nursing some issues behind the “I’m too busy” mask ..... I’ve got one of them.

Pyjama day tomorrow has started from now .... am ignoring the baby dragons and chillin’ In bed. If I stop responding it will be because I am asleep 💤
