An uncle used to live there and I had my portrait painted there around 1972. Family had long connection with it.

It certainly has a beautiful ambience and made a definite impression on me. Last times I have been there was for a choral festival ... a few years ago.

Think I may have mentioned Montsalvat to you both @Faith-and-Hope a few years ago.

Tomorrow will be a big day. The last i heard my son may be coming home in the afternoon after a session with his counsellor. I hope he does both, but am not pestering him... just waiting.

I have been to Inverloch many. many years ago @Appleblossom It is quite beautiful there too - just the place to while away the days not doing much at all.

I hope tomorrow goes okay for you Apple - it is a massive deal your son coming home. Please let us know how it goes if that eventuates - and reach out for support if you need it too Hon.

Yes, you probably mentioned Monsalvat before I knew what it was @Appleblossom, and you definitely mentioned having your portrait painted as a child.
