I am a fair way off even considering sleep but already know it will be a couch island night. I woke up a few times, but accrued a few hours ..... maybe 8 ?

The drains here are really bad, and there is a bathroom next to my room that was toxic .... I couldn’t breathe the air in there and the stench had filled the whole place when I first walked in yesterday .... so I ran the hot water tap in the hand basin, bath and shower for 15mins (hate wasting water) and tipped toilet cleaner down them, and it was marginally better.

I slept with the door closed on that bathroom, but when I woke up this morning it was really bad again and making me feel sick. I ran the hot water again and emptied the whole rest of the toilet cleaner down the drains but it only improved marginally again.

I tipped a whole bottle of vinegar down the drains (can’t find bicarbonate soda in the kitchen) and left the windows open and a (safe) candle burning in there.

It has given me a headache .... or maybe it was the combo of lack of sleep and the flight as well .... but I am planted in the coffee shop and I am going to stay here all day I think. Can’t bear the thought of going back at the moment.

Oh Hon it is one more thing you don't need to deal with Sounds like staying in the coffee shop is a good idea to get out of the mayhem and smelly house @Faith-and-Hope I hope it helps with your headache as well - no doubt all the stress, lack of sleep over the last few weeks, flight and now the smell are all contributing factors. Take it easy today.Do you have work you can do in the coffee shop?

Yes @Zoe7 . I have set up to recover the work I lost on Friday night.

I didnt have any coffee yesterday to try to prevent my feet swelling from the flight, but they still did anyway, and no coffee is probably part of the headache too.

Fixing that one now 👍☕️
