More than a bit overwhelmed here @Zoe7 .... you know your spare room where you can’t get to things, or find things, and looking for things actually breaks down what sense of order survived the move ? Yeah ..... well ..... my whole “house” here is like that, with not much chance of making it better any time soon.

It’s a reduced living space to around a third.

Silver linings ... I get to slowly, selectively start taking things out of the rubble here and start rebuilding my home over there, a suitcase at a time 😔

Oh sweetheart that is terrible for you. I wish I was there to help you then we could move at least 2 suitcases at a time My spare room is in such a mess so I have some sense of what you are faced with throughout your entire house - I can imagine that was heartbreaking for you to come into today.

Whilst you may be tryimg to find a silver lining in it all I know you would be breaking inside also. Please look after yourself @Faith-and-Hope and if you have to walk away from it all to get some peace then do that when you can. Talk to your friends over there and of course us here when you need - here for you and wishing so much that there was more I could do

There is a coffee shop up the street I can flee to for some sanctuary @Zoe7 .... and I saw this coming from two years ago, so I was able to brace myself for it, but not stop it from happening.

Its terrible in the moment, but the dust will clear and we will move forward into our new semi-stable state.

This was all part of the decision to stay as things went into a tail-spin. I am stating small, like I always have when my houses have gone down .... folding everything that is cloth, and piling it ..... stacking everything that’s paper .... putting like with like ..... bringing order back up out of the chaos.

Bracing yourself for it just lessens the pain a little Hon but doesn't take it away altogether. From what I know of you I have no doubt you will put it all back together bit by bit but I also know that will be with a very heavy heart for some time still while you sort through it all. Home is something that has meaning and comfort and both of those have been taken for now for you ...but home is also where family is for you so whilst you have your baby dragons around you then you will have some sense of home within them.

I am pleased you have the coffee shop to escape to @Faith-and-Hope and that it is not too far for you when you need it. We all need that sanctuary when things are overwhelming - to take a breath and to sit with whatever is going on for us. I know you will head there when you need and take that break for yourself. It is still super hard though
