A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Hadn't thought to start a new thread ....

In transit again today and have to go again now .... found a brief moment with wifi .... will catch you later and answer the above.

Re: Far and Away

Oh wow @Zoe7 ..... not much sleep there. I hope you can nap across the day.

I am on the move today, and had a bleh night ..... I “saved” my work incorrectly and lost everything I had done .... 🤨😫

Then I went to pack and found that I had been left with a case that hadn’t been unpacked from the last trip, instead of the one I had unpacked ..... 🤨😫 .... and it was after midnight .... and I couldn’t find something D3 asked me to bring ..... and I couldn’t find charcoal that S2 asked me to leave ..... and then I woke up ahead of my alarm .... so I am short on sleep too, but not as short as you are. I am hoping to nap today too.

It does suck not knowing how next year is supposed to look. There will e some silver linings somewhere, and maybe that will involve a far more permanent placement for you, and hopefully in another school that you will love teaching in. This time on class has shown you how much you love teaching, and how well it helps to sustain you.

Sitting with you Hon ..... I am going to go visit @Sans911‘s time zone for a bit (a bit of a break, and a bit of a celebration that is different for my youngest than it was for the rest of them, cos we moved .....) but no classes this week.

The day is already sunny here, so I hope it is for you too .... and no wind.

Hugs and hugs to sleepy you from sleepy me .... what a pair, huh ?!

Re: Far and Away

What a pair indeed @Faith-and-Hope 😴 That image just about sums us both up today but reallymfeeling for you having to move across time zones today 💜 At least I can stay home for most of the day. I have to go out to find a birthday card for my sister's partner - can't afford a present but have enough money in my money box for a card at least. I will get him something and drop it around on Wednesday when I get paid though.

I can hear how frustrating it must have been with the unpacked suitcase and not being able to find things. I have that regularly with trying to find things for school that are still packed in boxes - that maybe the silver lining for a new school - I may be able to move some things when I get a new pacement - it should be a more permanent move - but with what happened last year and this year I have no real confidence in HR to do that. I will be strongly pushing for that though and hoping it is sorted sooner rather than later so I have time to get organised and plan things.

It has stopped raining here and whilst it is not very sunny it is an okay day so far. I have managed to do the washing so hopefully will get that pegged out soon and it will dry across the day. I also washed up early this morning so that is done too. I can't vacuum with both dogs here - Dog has Toby's toys spread all over the loungeroom - no point picking them up as he will do it again as soonas I do It has kept him occupied this morning though and now both dogs are curled up on the couch asleep. When I head out later I will take Toby with me and leave Dog inside - they are good together when I am around but I am not sure how they would go left alone together so better safe than sorry.

It is going to be a long day and night for me. Hopefully I can get a nap or two in today as well as get some marking done - very tired and not able to concentrate on that this morning but should be able to get out their books and work to organise into groups so it is ready to get stuck into when I feel a bit better. I know I have to start on it today though as I won't have enough time to do it all tomorrow. I also have to finish off a few pompoms for kids that weren't done when we finished most of them off at school. It would be great to be able to give them to the kids on Monday so that is completely out of the way too. They took their birdhouses home yesterday so that is all done. I have some photos and will post one to you later - meed to transfer from my phone first.

I can't believe you lost all your work Hon - that is very disappointing - especially after all the effort you have been putting in. I can imagine how flat that has made you with everything else you have been feeling as well this week. Really feel for you - it makes us so deflated when those things happen and I really hope you can get it done quickly again. I would do it for you if I could - certainly not what you needed

I will look out for you across the day when I can. I honestly do not feel like doing anything but also know I have to find the energy and motivation from somewhere - a case of having to and needing to rather than wanting to though. I could quite easily sleep through the day but it might be fortuitous that Dog is here as I have to be more on the ball to look after all the animals today. Dog won't be picked up until later tonight - probably around 10 to 11 depending on when my sister's flight gets in and they can get here. Luckily I don't need to pick them up though - they decided to leave their car at the airport as they were only gone for one night and that seemed easier. I will be up watching the footy anyway - and often am up later Saturday nights so whilst I will be really tired tonight it will not be anything out of the usual for me to be up when they get here.

Goodluck with finding everything you need and packing your suitcase. Safe travels Hon - will be thinking of you

Re: Far and Away

Thanks @Zoe7 .....

I didn’t lose the whole project, just the couple of hours I had done last night, but it was a bitter lesson in controlling how I manage electronic projects ..... something that I am still relatively new to.

Silver lining - I am already planning to do that section differently, and better ....

Here’s to both of us getting naps in today 👍. Think I will be sleeping on that plane.

Re: Far and Away

Oh so glad you didn't lose the whole project @Faith-and-Hope - still annoying but more manageable - and the silver lining you can make the changes you want to the second time around as well 👍

You will have a couple of hours to nap on the plane so that is good. I will try to get a nap in here this afternoon too - depends on the dogs though. Cat has taken herself outside as it has cleared up to be a nice day so far. I am still snuggled up on the couch with the Dogs but managed to eat so that is a bonus. Going to watch a little ABC iview today to catch up on a couple of shows I have been watching lately - no football on until tonight.

Had a phone call from my sister checking up on how it is going with Dog. She sounds like she is having a good time so I am pleased about that.
