A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Yes I know how that feels @Zoe7. It's not a nice place to be in at all. It's so hard when things are out of your hands or control. Just try to take the best care of yourself as you can and brace yourself for the storm ahead. We'll all be here for and with you through this. 🤝

Re: Far and Away

Thank you Hon - that means a lot @Sans911 💛🧡💙💜💚

Going to try to watch the footy tonight but really not interested now - can't seem to even get excited about my team tomorrow night - it is the small things that are not even registering for me at the moment and I don't have my usual cuddles from Toby or Cat tonight as they are both a little put out by having my sister's dog here. Cat is okay because she is in her room but Toby is taking longer to settle. I think once both dogs can relax I might a bit as well. Probably a good thing I have them both here though tonight - something to focus on.

Re: Far and Away

Yes @Zoe7 .... good idea to park it up. I hope when the fur babies settle you will too Hon. I am sure you must still be very tired after a horrible week, and it’s not great when the small things are not registering. I am glad it is the end of the week in that you can take time to rest in whatever way works for you right now.

Sometimes you’re more tired when you stop running, and I think that is what this is for me .... with mr. away and the tension low, the underlying fatigue is breaking through ..... but also hopefully reducing.

Working on ..... you guessed it .... Photoshop .....

Re: Far and Away

I have so much to do this weekend in terms of writing reports on all the kids to pass on to their normal teacher. I was going to do that over the holidays but now I am not on that class for the whole of the last week I need to do it now so I can get their books back to them and their normal teacher knows where they are all at. I honestly do not have the energy for it though - don't have the energy for anything tonight. You are possibly right - it is an accumulation of things after not only a very difficult week but some tiring ones beforehand also. I honestly feel so flat and close to tears - not just because of the news today but I have been holding that in all week. Don't know myself tonight but know I have to hold on as well

I do understand that fatigue when everything around you has softened and you have space to breath. All of the tensions fade and you can actually feel the calm followed by fatigue setting in. When you are constantly on alert, not knowing what is coming next and feel like you are always running it certainly affects you when you have that space both physically and mentally from the causes of all that. Take it easy yourself Hon - do what you need to find that equilibrium whilst you have that space to be you. Hugs and hugs

Goodluck with photoshop 😁

Re: Far and Away

Thanks @Zoe7 .

Now that I have a few skills in Photoshop it’s far less stressful than it was when I was on that steep learning curve. The steep learning curve has been transferred to learning an new program, but I am getting a handle on that too, and the kids are helping me.

Have the fur babies settled now ?

Hugs @Sans911 ..... sorry I didn’t acknowledge you before - had a bit going on at this end ..... one baby dragon left here with me that doesn’t feed itself very well without support when it’s not flying .....

Thinking of you very much today too Hon.

Sorry to heat that the changes circumstance has brought all that report-writing forward for you @Zoe7, but tonight is about getting past the week, and the rest of it can wait, huh ?

I am pushing assignments forward so I don’t think about them until I have to.

The girls called me from the west a couole of times today. That tells me they are missing me. I will be heading over their way shortly, with homework in tow, so there won’t be much sorting of boxes happening this time either. I will be bringing butterflies back with me. Still trying to put together a sense of home, but I will get there, little by little.

Re: Far and Away

I absolutely love that you are bringing butterflies back with you Hon - anything that can provide that sense of home for you and knowing also what they represent for both of us is an added bonus

Your girls must be missing you @Faith-and-Hope but it is so nice of them to be in touch so regularly also - they look up to you sweetheart and feel that loss when you are not with them - it is not the same as being with them but at least you know you are both in their thoughts and in their heart - and that is something to hold onto until you are there with them

You are right - tonight is about just getting through and not thinking about much at all. Cat is in her room and Toby is still wandering around a bit. Dog has just gone outside so I am sure they will both settle when he is back inside. They have been relatively settled for a while but I got up so both of them did as well.

Glad the kids are helping you with the new program - makes so much difference when you have others around to help work out those things we are unfamiliar with - and the bonus is you get to have that extra time with your kids

Have taken extra meds to help get through tonight so if I drop out it is likely because I have finally fallen to sleep. I am trying to watch the footy - going for WC of course - but don't feel the sense of happiness or excitement I usually feel - just tough tonight - I wouldn't say I am not coping but not far from it.

Re: Far and Away

@Zoe7 I really am very sorry to hear you will not be returning to your present school next year. I know you partly expected it, but held out a little hope also. Sending warm thoughts. Wishing things were different. 💜💕💜

Re: Far and Away

Thanks for you thoughts @Maggie It is really sad. I wish it was different as well - been such a wonderful school to work in and I have no idea where I will be next year. I will basically have to start again with everything - staff, students, processes, structure ....everything - starting over takes time and energy and I do wish it wasn't the case

@Faith-and-Hope I fell asleep but Geelong beat your team so unfortunately WC are out of the finals now. It has been a ong night for me - both dogs up and down all night wanting to go outside or unsettled. I ended upsleeping on the couch with Toby sleeping behind me on the cushion and Dog asleep on my feet - it wasn't very comfortable but they both finally settled and I got a couple of hours sleep.
