Was -5 in the ice hotel @TAB .... and yeah, some of us stayed in a "cold room", others in a basic chalet there. They supply the sub-zero gear as part of the check-in .....

Was only one night, but that's enough .... lol ... think I managed 3 hrs sleep ....

Did an ice-sculpting class with S2 and D3 .... first time ever .... but my arty skills carried over. Can you see what it is ?

We went on dog sleds to see the Northern Lights - it's not an unusual mode of transport there, and the Alaskan Huskies absolutely love it ! They yap and carry on like I don't know what when they stop, raring to get going again, then run silently .... for hours ... and in temps of -40 !! Amazing creatures .... ❣

Found "Svenska" on that sign for you and @Former-Member .... 😆 ... fist thing I saw when I stepped out of the airport.

The Norweigan language is very similar to Swedish, Finnish is completely different.

We lived in a similar looking house when first arrived over there, then lived in a unit.

Amazing, how in summer it stays daylight until approx 11pm. One night the sun doesn't set at all. Was lucky to be in Lappland at the time on a farm and it was absolutely beautiful.

They love their saunas, every home has one.

Ice sculpting sounds fun, I've only done snow sculpting, a snowman, haha!

Best part of my childhood, living over there, ice skating, snow skiing, etc.............

Yeah @Former-Member ... thanks for asking. Had three flights today to get back here on not much sleep, and have only just come home from the airport.

Everyone else asleep I think ... was a very emotional couple of days, and have had another break-through with WH through circumstances while we were there .... think it's going to take a series of them, some big and some smaller. Then have to so wait and see what the effect is, and whether it stays .... emotional .... just parked all that up for now but probably need to do a lot of walking the next couple of days to help stay balanced ...

Was looking forward to some colder weather when I went there last time. They had a heat wave. No air con anywhere, not in shopping centres, public transport etc. Thought we'd try a restaurant for some air con, but, none there either. Mind you it was a while ago, things could have changed now. Oh, now I'm talking about Finland, only visited Sweden for a few nights last time. The town was almost exactly the same, school had been knocked down, but the rest was the same. Beautiful place. @Faith-and-Hope

I would love to go back ... it was a whirlwind visit ... (married to a whirlwind at the moment .... lol) but it was so peaceful !
