Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

@Zoe7 That sounds like one very good day. 😊. There’s no doubt you certainly have a way with kids, and difficult backgrounds.

Whatever it was that you had last night seems to have passed thank goodness. I hope you have a restful night. By the sound of things you still have some work to finish. 💕💞💜

Re: Far and Away

Definitely have some work to finish @Maggie but will be good to have it finished for the kids - they certainly deserve it with how wonderful they were today. They had to stay in for recess as well because it was raining so it made it doubly impressive that they were so good all day. I stayed with them as well then had duty at lunch time so did not get a break all day ...it went super fast though and I loved every minute of it

@Shaz51 So glad to hear about Smoky - little sweetheart seems to have got over his fright and is now settling back into his territory. Great that he spent all that time with you too - Fridays are a good day for you my sister

No my challenging boy doesn't have ADHD but he is quite low in academic ability so gets frustrated when he can't do something. He does ask for help though and that is to his crediit. I could spend all day helping him but have a few others on the lower end of the scale also so need to spread myself around a bit. It was great today that he could show everyone his crafty side and no doubt his self esteem was boosted a little also with being able to help others. Soo proud of him today

Re: Far and Away

So wonderful to hear about your good day @Zoe7. It's what I wish for everyone. I know that by no means are the tough times over, but at least there are brighter moments. I'm also quite sure your students' behaviours are due to your own personality of kindness, compassion and empathy that shows them what an amazing role model you are to emulate. They see your passion for teaching so they too want to feel good about learning and developing into decent human beings. Don't ever underestimate your worth @Zoe7. This is what you are here for.

Re: Far and Away

He is one of three triplets @Shaz51 and I have taught one of his brothers in the other class too - they are both challenging at times but so gorgeous also. My boy sits really close to me and occasionally puts his head on my knee - I told him it feels like I am home with my dog who also sits really close to be all the time - he smiled at that ....so cute. I do have a soft spot for him and he knows it lol but we have a great relationship and he does listen so that is half the battle won

Re: Far and Away

awww thank you @Sans911 That means so much to me from you Hon

I could not love my job more than I did today - those little munchkins were so patient, caring and helpful to each other and to me today. I lined them all up at the end of the day and told them all to chose something out of the prize box for being 'totally awesome'.

Had my little girl's Mum say how much she is loving Maths and teaching her everything she has learnt - that shocked me because she is behind in Maths but must be doing something right.
