@Faith-and-Hope It takes time to fill those voids left by things that are slowly being taken away or disappearing for you - and art is one way to do that. It certainly be cathartic as well as fill in time that you would have spent previously with friends/family. It does not make it easier to lose those things but it does give you periods of distraction and by using things important to you in your art it becomes a keepsake of a part of your life.
Had another pretty good day today - my more difficult boy was amazing this afternoon where afternoons he is usually full of beans and unsettled - today he sat quietly, did his work (even asked for help) and helped sort out some classroom resources. I was so proud of him. He was determined to get his name on the board for 'being awesome' and he achieved that.
His Mum is coming in on Friday for parent help so I will take great pleasure in telling her how great he was today
I really love this class - they are gorgeous kids (still too noisy but we are working on that!) My wonderful kids that finished all their Maths yesterday had even more to do today. They thought it was fantastic that they had so much to do and turned it into a competition between each other who could finish first ...it was so cute and really made me smile. Some even suggested areas they wanted more work in so I spent time this morning including their interests in amongst what we need to learn.
Glad to have the day off tomorrow but will need to do some shopping and organising for Friday. We are going to make pompom animals - each child is making the animal they are researching for Science and then they can present it all at assembly next week. I have so much wool to buy but have the felt, fluffy fabric and googly eyes already at home. Thank goodness I have parent help on Friday or we would never get through all the kids. I am really looking forward to the day - it will be a mostly craft day and I owe them a game as well for their great work over the week.
Also had my pdoc appointment this afternoon and we discussed how I was going. I have kind of plateaued - not getting any worse but not improving as much as she would like. She is not concerned though - actually thinks I am doing really well despite the tiredness. SI has definitely lessened so something is working. She doesn't want to change my meds at all (which I am happy about) but if I am still not sleeping well next time I see her then we may need to tweak them a bit. For me just getting to work and doing my job is priority - and as long as I am coping with that then that is enough for me for now.
Hope you have had a great day and can get a lot done tonight. I am going to sort out some paperwork tonight and do a little housework so I have less to do tomorrow. Will attempt to go out early to get the wool and a few other things so I have the remainder of the day to relax and begin planning for next week. Love and hugs to you Hon
