Thinking of you @Zoe7 . I hope it’s a lovely day .....

I figured you would find your duck-to-water (webbed) feet once you were back in a classroom you could call your own, and your gift for teaching could begin to glow again. Go you ❣️

@Former-Member I know it is not the same but you have friends here - many of them that care for you a lot. You hold a special place in my heart too Hon - you have always been an inspiration to me with everything you have to deal with in your life and how open you are with sharing your experiences. There is so much to love about you - your compassion for others here, your insight, your very big heart and your willingness to reach out to those in need of support even when you are suffering so much yourself. This community is about people like you Sherry - and is made all the more special because you are here. So much love and respect for you Hon

@Faith-and-Hope It has been an up and down day for me today. The morning was okay but things fell apart a bit this afternoon - all my own fault but we learn from that. I gave the kids some extra time to do some drawing from videos - that went okay but once they had finished a couple of them decided it was a good time to be silly - that set the others off - so no drawing next Friday afternoon and more focussed curriculum to keep them in their seats. It was quite draining to bring them all back to a reasonable level of behaviour but it is over now and I can put that behind me - not everything always works and today after lunch certainly fallss into that category

Got a lot to do this weekend but as was the case last week - it will help me during the week when I get too tired to concentrate properly. Will try to get the finishing touches done on the giraffe too so I can begin painting him - so plenty to get done. Also need to catch up on a bit of housework which I will start tonight.

Hope you have had a better day today and the leaking has been minimal. Been thinking about you a lot today especially when one kid wanted to draw a peacock and that made me smile. They have no idea what that means to be - that I associate peacocks with you so you where very much front and centre in my thoughts. We didn't have time for the peacock today but it is on the list of animals to draw as a class next time we do that. Much love and hugs to you - hoping you have achieved a lot and you can get into your piece for the competition 💐😍

Hi @Zoe7 @Former-Member ... anyone else around 👋💕

It was a very busy day today, which is currently very good for me. I worked back on Photoshop because it’s one of the classes I will be missing next week. A friend I made in the course stopped to chat and listen to me for a long while, so I got to talk out a bit how hard next week is going to be, and how much pain is wrapped up in it all, that I will be opening along with the boxes. That was really lovely. She is aware of our bigger picture, and has a back-story of her own.

The peacock did make me smile @Zoe7 , and I am sorry the kids turned all rascally on you this afternoon. I remember “failed classes” during my teacher training, and yes, we live and learn according to the circumstances and class dynamic.

I actually got through to my mr. yesterday that the boxes in the west are significant ones, and they are not being unpacked for their contents to be thrown away, as he had presumed, (without asking me) and that stopped him from being off-hand and ridiculing about them, thankfully ..... small mercy there.

I finished a painting today, which I am pleased about. It is in a style that is experimental for me, but I like it.

@Former-Member are you getting to your garden at all ?

@Zoe7 , now that you are feeling like the classroom is yours, it will feel good to get the giraffe finished and in there I imagine.

Re: Far and Away

It is wonderful that you have made that connection with someone in one of your classes @Faith-and-Hope and even more wonderful that you have found that outlet to be able to talk about a little of what is happening for you. We all need that in our lives and I am really pleased you have found someone you can do this with

It is even betterthat you got through to Mr. on how important those boxes are to you and that they are not simply being sorted to 'throw things out'. You need to be able to keep those things that are important to you and can have some place in your new home. I hope that gives you less anxiety around the sorting next week Hon.

I always love hearing when you have finished a piece of work and especially when you have gotten into something that you would not usually do. You are continuing to expand your range and finding enjoyment in it also so that is awesome - go you 🎉

Yes not an ideal afternoon for me but we live and learn. Friday afternoons are a bit ratty anyway as the kids get tired and can't focus as much. Next week I will be doing an art activity with small groups across the day - and will have parent help in the morning - so that should be a lot better. They really are a lovely bunch of kids and make me laugh and smile everyday - I actually look forward to going to work so that is a huge positive.

I plan on getting the giraffe into school at the end of next week - so a bit to do across the week ...but if I can get all the planning done this weekend then it is achievable. I can paint the legs and body first while waiting for the remainder of the head to dry and then do that last - so I have a plan - now just need the energy to carry it out

What do you have planned for the weekend? I am planning on not getting out of my jammies for 2 days lol - feel like I have done a 5 day week this week with going into PT interviews yesterday.

@Faith-and-Hope @Zoe7 @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @BlueBay @Shaz51 and everyone else passing by

I'm still struggling atm and have been down for the past few weeks but more so the last week. I am back on medication for the time being. I am feeling quite nauseated from it but hopefully that will subside over the next few days until I get used to the medication.

I have been thinking of you all
