A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

last night I had a very restless sleep

and then i decided to get up and have a cuppa and it was 3-30am

so i came on here and had a great chat with @TAB , @Bunniekins

feeling a lot better from the stomach bug

mum used her electric scooter yesterday to go to the hospital to get her leg redressed

found out it was a bad skin cancer which was removed from mum`s leg

for me I have experienced a lot of things since my last specialist apptoinment so i have written it all down

Mr shaz has been taking double his medication this week , hoping it will settle down for him

@Faith-and-Hope It must be appointment day for you and I hope you got your prints of your work done for the competition. 😍

@Former-Member Been thinking about you all day with your long driving trip - hope you have arrived safely and can get some rest before you have to deal with all the other stuff for your Mum's funeral. Much love and hugs for you Hon

@Shaz51 It was great to hear your Mum used the scooter to get to the hospital - that is one less thing for you to have to deal with amongst your own health concerns. So good the tummy is feeling better too

@eth Made it through the day and happy to be home. It was a long day but satisfying at the same time.

First day done and despite the kids being excited to be back at school and rather noisey they settled down across the day. I can see it is going to take a fair bit of work to get them quiet and on task but once the expectations are conveyed to them it should get easier. It often takes kids a while to settle down - especially with a new teacher - but the bonus was I at least knew all their names and a little of where they are at with their ability levels. I did some spelling testing with them today and will do the same with Maths tomorrow then I can get them into groups and it will be easier to cater to their individual needs. Going to be a busy few days (and weekend) to get that all sorted but it will really help when I do - will make it easier to plan across the grades/groups as well.

The plan is to do the group work and most of the more academic stuff Mon to Wed then we can have the Friday to do more hands on stuff - experiments, cooking, art etc. That gives me Thursday to organise it all for the Friday and then plenty of time to clean up at the end of the week as well.

It is beginning to come together (at least in my own mind) - just need to put it into practice now. It will all take a lot of organising but happy with the direction things are going so far. Definitely glad to be home now though where I can rest and do a little work in my own time tonight.

Hope everyone has had a little light in your day and your evening is a relaxing one. You have all helped me get to this stage and for that I am extremely grateful - it is great to be back in the classroom with my own class and I could not have done that without all your ongoing suport - so THANK YOU
