A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

I think he did @Zoe7 . I couldn’t get hold of him and D3 said he’s “done” for today, meaning he’s fried ..... meaning that he went to uni and it’s taken all he had for the day, based on past conversations about the same thing.

Re: Far and Away

Thanks for asking @eth . I was unwell last week, so it was a slow start to the new uni semester, but warming up to it now.

Re: Far and Away

He made it though by himself and that is encouraging @Faith-and-Hope - baby steps are still steps forward

@Shaz51 Never easy to lose anyone but so much harder when they are close to you We feel so much for those we know that lose someone close to them - nothing more we can do than to be there for them my sister

@Former-Member Very much thinking of you tonight Hon. Are you making the long drive tomorrow or Wednesday?

Re: Far and Away

Not too bad thanks @Zoe7

Just chatted with the person re job. Also researched a bit for the project business thing I'm helping with 🤫

Settling in for the evening now. Will go to bed earlier as tdf is not on tonight - rest day

Re: Far and Away

Leaving in the morning @Zoe7 as soon as I can get hubby up, moving, fed, medicated and organised.

Want to be gone by 8am, meaning we should arrive by 4-5pm. Half hour lunch and fuel stop roughly half way. Really not looking forward to the drive.

Yet to decide what to wear to funeral. Yet to pack my bag. Though have got hubbys done, including all his meds. And those needed for the drive kept separate.

At least I have Holly's bed, collar, lead, food bowl, wooly jumper, treats, chews, food, etc all ready to drop into our neighbour (along with Holly of course) as we head off in the morning.

Now that dinner is done and washing up finished, I really need to decide what I need to take and shove it in a bag now. I am normally very good at packing. Not so today.

Re: Far and Away

Some productivity in your day then @MDT I will be heading to bed early myself - need to be up a bit earlier than I usually would for work but that shouldn't be a problem as I am waking up really early anyway - and often throughout the night. See my pdoc on Wednesday so will talk to her about that then.

How many days left of the tdf?

Re: Far and Away

Packing for something like this is not easy @Former-Member It is not something you want to have to deal with but you have to So you procrastinate for as long as you can - totally get that. The knowledge that the drive is so long would be adding to you stress also. It will be a very long day and you will have the added pressure of hubby with you and looking after him while you are driving - too much to deal with Sherry

It is wonderful that your neighbour will be looking after Holly but I bet you would rather her with you - that bond you have with her is something that keeps you going ....have the same with Toby so know how special it is. Hugs from both of us Hon

@Former-Member

Thinking of you. Glad Holly will be fine. You have to do practical and driving things as well as grieving.

@Zoe7 SO glad today went well. Bodes well for tomorrow.

@Faith-and-Hope

I love hearing about your art and your study too. Cheers to you for all your mothering and modelling a decent creative life for the baby dragons.

My baby dragon is well atm. Had a house meeting. He is looking and sounding good and healthy.

There is hope yet.
