Hey @Zoe7
I’m so scared of writing this post and making it harder for you. Please know that it is from my heart. I also know that the timing may be bad but I’m also scared if I don’t post it.
I have an an idea of what you are going through and why and how. I have an idea because I’ve been through it too. It hurts tremendously and I’d imagine you have anger and rage and much pain. This does not define you or make you powerless. We can only give our power away, others can’t take it. What defines you is much bigger than something you were told. It doesn’t change you or your support here or the support that you give others. It doesn’t change how we think of you or anything else.
What defines you is is your strength to get up when things are really hard. What defines you is your kindness and gentleness. What defines you is your crazy sense of fun. What defines you is having a principal watch your lessons and handle that with dignity and grace. What defines you is making your path in a new school where you are not just accepted but respected and they want you there.
Given time for the pain to subside I hope that you can find your feet again and use this as a way of learning from it. That doesn’t mean accepting that what was said was right but that you can use it as motivation or try to work out how things others say don’t define you. In my case I didn’t intentionally do either but I think just added it to my experiences until I was ready to learn from it. It’s taken a while.
I hope you can read this post when some of the pain has passed. You are worthy of support here. Use your support here if it helps regardless of the other stuff. I know you feel they are connected but I don’t believe they are. I hope I haven’t hurt you more. It wasn’t my intention. 💜🤗
