Hi @Faith-and-Hope

I just wanted to touch base with you today before I go to bed. Am a bit tired today. Kira had emergency surgery this afternoon - both are snorning their heads off atm (Kira & Milo). Tomorrow I am getting work done on the house so I have to get up early but I have to do a few things tonight to get organized for tomorrow. I walked Milo tonight, and he stopped dead is tracks, when we started to walk home, he wanted to continue walking the other way, and when we got back to the house - I have to carry him inside- he is quite stubborn How was your day?

Re: Far and Away

@Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member A quick fly-by this morning. I slept all night which I very much needed. The pain in my teeth came back last night but the pain killers helped and the new night med also seemed to help. There does not seem to be any side effects which is great. I have had side effects from all the previous meds I have had so this is a unique situation for me - which is great. I feel so much better for having slept so feel okay to go to work today. I will have pain killers with me so any sign of pain I will have them straight away. I also need to call the dentist today to see where we go from here. Very much hoping they can take the teeth out in the surgery and that it can be done really soon. Keep everything crossed for me.

I still don't know if I will go to the funeral. I will talk to the assistant principal today about that. I know she will be supportive so I have no problems discussing it with her. I think I am still in shock at the sudden loss - it was very much unexpected as I didn't know she had been unwell. Such a beautiful souls and so much a loss to this world.

Hope you both have a great day - shining a light on you both and sending you warm hugs and a whole load of love

Thanks for the update @Zoe7 . So pleased to hear that you had a decent sleep and that the pain meds are finally helping. I hope the news from the dentist is good today, and I shall have my fingers and toes crossed that those troublesome teeth can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Thanks for your shining light, your warm hugs and the love you send ... it is reciprocated in full.

Talk again when you can. I hope your day goes smoothly.

Wow @Zoe7 , that is fantastic that the new sleep med worked with no apparent side effects ...... and the pain meds are working now too ..... that sleep is the much-needed healing agent for the infection.

Yes, if you want the teeth out, I hope that can be done ASAP for you.

I am glad you have time to consider whether to go to the funeral or not. Under your current circumstances, that is a big decision too. So glad you can discuss it with the Assistant Principal comfortably.

I hope today is a lovely one st school. Stay warm ❣️ So lovely to have had this unexpected check-in this morning ...... a lovely start to my day .....💚🦋💕

Hey @Former-Member 👋💐💕

Lovely to see you too.

I fell asleep early last night, then woke up a couple of hours later and was awake for a few hours. I have been watching educational videos that explain disgnoses to further my education in our arena when I can’t sleep, and it seems to help. Having a greater understanding somehow reminds me of what needs sorting out and how to keep treading water. It’s easy to start doubting myself, and these videos point out that that is the effect these issues can have.

Anyway, I am expecting a repairman shortly. My mr. keeps setting up appointments for me to deal with while he is away .... his way of enforcing a shared inconvenience of getting this sorted out here, and I get Cc’d into the relevant emails, with staff members communicating directly with me ..... one way he is staying removed from having to work directly with me.

Hi @oceangirl 👋💕

sorry I missed your post last night. I fell asleep earlyish ^^^^ (see post above).

Wow, your fur babies have had to have a lot of unexpected surgeries Hon ..... that must really be adding on to the ups and downs of things for you.

I hope your day at the Rescue Centre was lovely for you. Was thinking of you thete.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope

I was hoping for a early night too but that didn't happen. But I am pleased you got to bed earlish for you. How are you- what has your day been like?

Kira's cancers seem to come in cycles, sometimes not so predictable though. My vet did her teeth yesterday free of charge and he has done that before for her, he knows both dogs are very well looked after and cared for. It does add to my stress levels but they're well worth it.

I'm checking my notifications now, I am heading out around 4pm. But I have to take a shower and get ready and look for what I want to wear. I'm just meeting my second mum for late afternoon tea after she finishes work at the local hospital. We're heading overseas next May together, I am so excited and pleased we are going together and getting to spend time together.

I have a friend coming to stay in July for two to three weeks, I am looking after my friend, they are having major surgery. I would say it would probably happen mid to late July. I will be quite busy during that time and visiting them in hospital, and then when they come to stay. I just hope the surgery goes smoothly for them.

Re: Far and Away

@Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member I am booked in for 2 weeks time to get both my wisdom teeth out. They can't do it any sooner but if I still feeling pain on Monday then they will refer me to a specialist - problem with that is it may take longer than the two weeks. It feels like an eternity to wait but the pain is so much less today - the ABs must finally be working. Only needed pain meds this morning so far today and actually feel like eating again too.

@Former-Member Love and hugs always there for you Hon - and I always know they are reciprocated Hope you had an okay day. I haven't asked you how it was with your brother being there. How is he doing?

@Faith-and-Hope It totally sucks the way Mr. treats you Hon. I know some of these things need doing but he is placing so much extra pressure on you in doing these things when he is away. ...but as usual you take in in your stride (as much as you can anyway). It is what it is and we all know that he will not change and needs to feel like he is in control - I really hate that for you sweetheart - thank goodness you have your art and uni to balance out things a little

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Zoe7 👋 💕

Glad your teeth are settling down and you now have a date to aim for to have them taken out. Yay ❣️

The trouble is that my

mr views his regimen as the equivalent of being employed, rather than being semi-retired and working part time.

He also believes I should be studying part time, if I am going to, and controlling his high-maintenance systems, and the adult kids, in the household, the rest of the time .....

So this is his way of trying to even the ledger ..... so he is not left doing it all. What he can’t see is that “doing it all” doesn’t need to be done ....

The systems that were set up for home ran themselves, with the kids naturally growing into supporting them, before he knocked them out of orbit, and replaced them with his mother’s ideas.

It’s “cat logic”.
