Far and Away

Tossing up whether to stay up for another half hour or so ....

i have been sharing a small hotel room with WH and his regimen the last few days, and was feeling a bit down last night and this morning .... he is crashing out early at night, which restricts my ability to wind down, then clanking around early morning after waking up a few times during the night ... in the bigger space of the apartment we are back in tonight, he is sleeping on the couch in the lounge cos his choc-treats wind-down and early lights out doesn't work for "us" .... I'm not prepared to give everything up for the regimen and stand my ground in this area ... so the simple joy of being able to do a jigsaw puzzle is heaven at the mo ....

You must be looking forward to seeing him @Former-Member .... it sounds like he has had a ball, along with the learning journey ....

We visited some uni campuses in the UK, just out of interest ..... and the campuses themselves are stunning .... steeped in history ....

I'm really glad you are getting the you time you need @Faith-and-Hope. The uni campuses in the UK would have been amazing. I was only asking how long you were going to be up as I was going to respond on my struggle thread about stuff that has kept me awake much of the night but I know it will take a while to write. It's ok though I might take my time and write it through the day.....if I don't chicken out again. I'd much prefer you to have me time now with a jigsaw and chocolates 💜🤗

It's me time with jigsaw puzzle, chocolates, and the forum @Former-Member ..... we're women .... we multi-task, right .... lol ....

Would love to hear from you on your struggle thread if you're up to writing now .... even if you just get something started .... you've been on my mind, an I was hoping more was starting to sort itself ....

I'm afraid multi tasking eluded me :face_with_rolling_eyes: @Faith-and-Hope ...one of the only mothers who couldn't, I think my brain has always been too full analysing stuff to actually do more things than one at a time 😳

I have been working through stuff @Faith-and-Hope. The penny has dropped for a few more things although I have no idea how to fix them. I'll have a go at writing it.

Multi-tasking isn't always in the doing @Former-Member .... it's often in the thinking ..... I have a very busy mind, and busy minds need to be kept busy ....

My mum used to tell me that her mother - whom she didn't get along with very well - used to put her to peeling the potatoes onto old newspapers, which were then wrapped up and thrown away ..... by the time she had peeled the potatoes, my mum had read both sides of the newspaper page .....

Made me chuckle about the potato peeling @Faith-and-Hope. Yep I'm that potato peeler. 😊
