Slow night here too. I have picked up something to do that doesn’t take much thought. Visual is west. Two baby dragons playing / watching internet games in the background. They like things with arty, beautiful graphics, which is nice.

It is nice that your baby dragons like things with more arty, beautiful graphics - so different to many of the violent games out there. There is so much online that kids are exposed to and it can be a minefield navigating that with them - we see it all the time at school - not so much in the classroom because things like that are blocked or banned but the kids are exposed to it at home. Sometimes I think some of these kids have no supervision at all hen it comes to the internet and that is scary.

Mine prefer “seeker” and builder-type games, but there are some mild “biffo” ones with fantasy creatures ..... not so a few years ago, but I think there were some anger issues tied up in there, and the games, and emotions, seem to have tempered (each other maybe) .....

Baby dragon is headed for treatment soon, but would be very upset about me charting more than this much here, even though it’s anonymous, so I won’t aay anything more just now.

Glad the games are more builder and 'seeker' type games now. I find it incomprehensible that some people do not get the correlation between violence in video games and that in society (to a certain extent). We see it with kids all the time and so many of them spend hours on 'biffo' or violent games - they tell us when we ask so it isn't a secret. Young kids cannot distinguish between these type of games and real life when they are exposed to them so young - when they are older they can at least develop some distance from game and reality ...but if they have been exposed to them very young they tend to internalise much of that behaviour just as they do from other experiences in their life. I think it is only going to get worse too unfortunately.

I agree @Zoe7 , it’s akin to being raised in aggressive life-circumstances. If we keep campaigning the message will eventually get through, like smoking has.
