hope your migraine gets better today Shaz.

Today I have to muster all my patience to work with this very rude and negative guy at volunteering. I can't leave the kitchen when he gets my goat as there is nowhere to go & I have to cook, it's my job. I've found that keeping quiet is the only strategy that works, if I say anything at all he launches into gruesome rants about genocide & other horrid topics. I also plan to leave early today as hanging around into the afternoon to help makes it worse.

@Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @BlueBay @BryanaCamp @Snowie @Shaz51 Left DBT halfway through this morning - headache got worse and I was worried about driving later. I had pain killers before I went this morning and felt okay for the first part of the day but it came back again. Home to have more pain killers and had a lay down but my mum came to visit as she was in the city for a meeting. Will need to leave in about half an hour so can't lay down again now until after I get back. This has been going on for nearly 3 days now and it is starting to get to me. It is good I am seeing GP this afternoon to try to get it sorted. Need to just get through the next couple of days and then I will be able to rest. Not sure if it is just the end of term and I am exhausted or something else is causing it. I am feeling a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders so that could also be the cause - maybe a nice warm bath this afternoon to see if that helps too.

Saw the GP @Faith-and-Hope My BP is high but that could be because of the headache. We are going to keep an eye on it though. My face is a little 'puffy' and I have been extra tired and achey the last few days - she thinks it is just a virus but I don't have any sick leave left so I will need to just get through these last two days at work. If I am not improving by next week then I need to go back and maybe have a CT scan. Got more pain meds to help me get through the next couple of days if I need them. I feel like I could sleep for a week this afternoon so will definitely be an early night again.

You could ask about a thyroid check too @Zoe7 .... but first things first ..... it’s probably just a virus, and I think I have got it now too ..... not a bad headache, but a background one plus fatigue and brain fog .....

I have had my thyroid checked a few times - last time I had to have an ultrasound as well but it was all okay. I'm not too concerned that it is anything more than a virus but if it continues - even with meds - then I will go back next week as she suggested @Faith-and-Hope I actually ran into another teacher from work when I was at the doctor's - she had a few days off as well and now her kids are sick. There is a lot going around at the moment - think we had 6 teachers off on Tuesday

I am not surprised you are not feeling well either - you certainly have been working hard and into the night as well as the usual family stuff happening for you. Sometimes when we are running on empty for so long the inevitable crash happens. I do hope you can get some rest and knock this on the head before it becomes any worse. You know I worry about you Hon - so please look after yourself over the next couple of days - your body is telling you it needs some rest and recuperation by the sounds of it.

Hi @Zoe7 Glad you're finally able to relax after your earlier appointments today. Hope your sore head is reducing?

Holly is her usual beautiful self. She has been watching over hubby while I was out earlier doing my volunteer role at the nursing home. Only a short stay there for me, but worth it. But now, she is back by my side again ... and yeah same as Toby, snuggling up next to me. One of the benefits of cooler weather ... more cuddles.

Me? I'm okay I guess. Hoping hubbys GP apt tomorrow can shed some light on where to next.
