How has your day been @Faith-and-Hope?

You must have felt my temper burning across the Tasman @Zoe7 ..... sigh. Mr.f&h has created a dinner drama. Not intentionally I think, but thoughtlessly, and is unapologetic.

He bought (this morning) organised and heated dinner for S2 and D3, then asks what I have planned for D2 and whether I want her to eat now too ..... ??!! Actually, nothing, because we are a family of four, not including him who eats his own food, so why ?! would you prepare for two out of the four of us ?? And I am fasting for Lent and on a different eating plan myself, but would have organised something for the four of us by agreement, that included something for me ..... grrrr

I was also working in the art space. D2 is watching football in the living space, which means moving one or both of us backward and forwards between the two.

So I have got S2 to reheat a dinner left from last night for D2 so she can stay at home, and I have stepped out to pick up something vegetarian for me to take back to the art space and go on with my work.

It’s a storm in a teacup. The moment will pass. Everyone will get fed. Life goes on. But geez :face_with_rolling_eyes:😤🤬

That is just creating a divide that absolutely does not need to be there for you all @Faith-and-Hope Shaking my head on your behalf here Hon I cannot see any reason hy Mr. would not include D2 even if he didn't include you - not on at all!!!

Exasperating in the moment @Zoe7 , but nothing for it but to go around the road block. I am not going to reach him with sensibility. He just wanted to do what he wanted to do, and will defend that with emotionally abusive behavipr if I persist with it. It’s not worth the upset for everybody.

I have found a nice veggie burger and will just stay in the art space working on my assignments for the rest of the evening.

Some battles just aren't worth the effort Hon but it is still frustraing for you

It sounds like you have a good plan to get through the night and get some work done as well @Faith-and-Hope - happy to keep you company while you do your work. I am doing the same as D2 - watching the footy but it isn't such a good game so not too invested in it.

It was a nice veggie burger I found, and I will be pleased to get the work done ..... it’s just the thoughtlessness and attitude that is abrasive. Never mind ..... done ..... moving on ....

Cuddle those lovely fur babies for me. I was reading @Shaz51 ‘s story about Smokey earlier. Would love to curl up with a purry cat for snuggles .....

Cat is curled up in her bedroom @Faith-and-Hope - she is banned from going outside at night after her nightime biscuits - don't trust I will be able to find her after the other night. I still have no idea where she was but playing it safe - I was so worried about her and can't be dealing with that again.

Toby is snuggled next to me (of course) so have given him a cuddle for you already. He is really soft and fluffy after his bath the other day so extra snuggly

It would be so great for you to have a fur baby to cuddle - I bet you miss Wolfie too

I do @Zoe7 .... every time I think of his big, intelligent eyes and energy I remind myself that giving him up has brought my art to the fore, and the chance to study and achieve things I never intended to leave behind in my life.

It’s still sad, but I am glad to have known him.

That is such a wonderful attitude to have @Faith-and-Hope but I understand it is still hard for you. You have gained a lot with your move east and been able to do things you may not have done if you had stayed permanently in the west so that is a bonus. It doesn't make it all easy for you but it does bring you a little pleasure as well. You have had the opportunity to follow your passion and that is a wonderful by-product of the move.

I feel much the same way with the move to the new school - there is a lot I miss about the old one but the benefits of this new one far outweigh the old toxic environment. There are always positives and negatives with these things but hopefully the positives are more prominent - for us both
