Morning @Zoe7 and also @Faith-and-Hope
Yes my Raiders came away with a win, but not so my Swannies. 😢
I guess they have lost quite a few good players in the off season (Hanneberry and Rohan) and have a number of young up-and-comers, so its possibly a rebuilding season for them this year. A bit like your Brisbane boys last year. Buddy is plainly not fit at this stage, though did kick a couple of brilliant goals from wide out. And I have to say that the umpiring was the worst I've seen in a long time. Very one sided and inconsistent, which only served to confuse and frustrate a number of the Swans players. I was not happy! But they can come back from their opening 2 losses, they have done it before after being down 6 / zip after 6 rounds.
It was unfortunate about the Eeels. My son in law follows then as well, and he was very dissappointed. But the Roosters, or the chookies as my little niece use to call them (they were her team), are a good team, even without Cronk. I have to admit I have a bit of a soft spot for Roosters, for 2 reasons - one because they were my nieces team and two because there are a couple of former local players who play for them.
I will be barracking for your Lions on Sunday. They had such a good win last week, dominating a top team in WCE. Here's hoping they can maintain that form, and if they do, they are definite finals contenders. Speaking of which, in a tipping comp my hubby is in, he tipped the Swans to finish 10th out of 18 this year, and the Lions 11th. Could be a battle between the two. That would mean a very rare miss for the Swans when it comes to finals footy.
We had light rain overnight, and more showers this morning. Its dull and overcast here as a result. Like for you, its an indoors day today. Good thing I got my washing done and dried yesterday. Cuddle time for Holly ........... xx
Hope you have a good day Zoe, Faith-and-Hope and also @Shaz51 @BryanaCamp @Fee1
