Looks a bit like my cat!! She'd be doing the same - until the dog chased her off LOL. They are so cute together - cat finds things to play with, Toby wants to play too, cat wants to be left alone, Toby comes back to Mummy for attention!!! (Gets it!) He is very spoilt. Cat is too -she has her own room barricaded from Toby for her own peace and quiet!!! Oh the things we do for our LOVED ONES!!!

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Zoe7, I'm kinda ok ta, chasing my tail (can't stay focused on cleaning up & Chrissy prep) and sore back... but not bad really. Sorry you're struggling "not in a good place" its a bit like that - up and down. Has anything happened?. Its still good to talk here, that's what the forums are for - peer support (give and take). I created a thread where I go to post my day for when I'm not on top, and someone usually responds and good discussions flow.

Sounds like your animals give you much joy. I'm allergic to cats (to touch), but gave my pup a big hug this morning - it felt really good and he loved it to and the release was so profound I cried, good tears of relief (do you know what I mean?). Hmm, think he's psychic, knows I'm talking about him, he just came over for another pat. Gotta find time for humans too, haha, so I come here and try ringing someone once a day.
Oops, someone's at the door

Sorry to hear about your sore back - no wonder you can't concentrate on cleaning up and Christmas prep. When my back is bad I can't think about anything but relieving the pain!

I'll be really brief with what has happened: appointment Mon morning with psychologist, made a statement that hit home hard, something I had never really thought about - putting things into simple words and outlining what could have happened tore me apart at the time. Had a lot to process and whether I wanted to go forward with laying charges or not - have chose not to as I know I can't deal with the consequences - for myself or others!

My fur babies are certainly my whole world - keep me going. I know exactly what you mean about the love you get from that doggy cuddle - makes you live in that moment with some peace. They definitely do know how we are feeling - amazingly perceptive little creatures. I still haven't been able to cry - has been months and months. I'm sure if and when I finally do it won't stop for along time - just don't seem to have enough feelings inside atm that would allow the release.

Hi @Zoe7

I am sorry you have not been up to par lately - did anything happen to trigger you or was this just a run-of-the-mill thing - either way it is unpleasant

My cat is the world to me - she's getting on in year and very clever - I don't think it's my imagination that she is so smart - oh my - and she is getting more cuddly as well -

And @Faith-and-Hope

I love the feline icecapades - my cat likes water - there was a burst water-pipe here trickling water and I had some movies of her playing in it - and something they got lost in u-tube - some one might find them and enjoy them - but anyway

I could always get another pic of here playing in the bath as I start to run it - she dabs and plays in the water.

Some cats like water

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Decadian

Yeah a really specific trigger - very distressed - took quite a while to settle! Really complicated situation-too much for me to deal with all at once. Had to stop session 'cos physically and mentally couldn't cope!

@Appleblossom

There are no statute of limitations in my situation - just needto think about my own health and welfare. If psychologist mentions it again I will tell her very bluntly NO and move on - too much to deal with - not prepared to openly revisit traumas (in one instance would be a closed court but in the other it would not) - only in psych sessions and when I'm ready!

@Shaz51 @Faith-and-Hope Thanksfor thinking of me - means alot

Doing alot better today. Actually managed to do some shopping and took Toby to the beach. Also went to farewell at work and wasn't too anxious - huge step! Really tired now but in a good way - not because I have been stressed out all day!

@Former-Member How did your day go - get any results yet?

Hi @Zoe7. Hope your evening is good. I've been busy posting photos on Facebook of my friend and I and our 2 kids up on top of my mountain last night - watching the sunset and the stars. Was beautiful. I hope to go up again tomorrow afternoon and relax and meditate. No kids this time.

Good evening @Shaz51. How has your day gone? You finished all your Christmas shopping?
I did mine today. Something for my mum & a few presents for my son. Plus I bought mymyself a couple of singlets & a tshirt & a beautiful mug with a stunning aboriginal art work - by a local artist.
