A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

It is lovely that you have plans with D1 Hon - family comes first and from what you have said lately she needs some of that mum-daughter time right now. Enjoy your day @Faith-and-Hope I will keep an eye out for you but your priority is your D1 and your time together is precious

Re: Far and Away

Ah hi there,

yes thanks for thanks for the reply.

Yes l have two cats both black and rescue cats off the street. the female is Gigi short for gorgeous girl and the other is a male he is a big boy and l call him Soi boy. They are also my unconditionallly loving family and l am very lucky to be ther carer lol.

dont know where l'd be without them......well actually l do, that's why l have them. They are healers as well as great companions. Am very lichy as they get along despite being indoor cats and l live in a one bedroom appartment. It's quite amazing how it all works so well given this situation. I do my best to keep my environment peacefull and relaxing for them and me so l guiess that makes all the difference, mutual respect goes a long way.

Hope things aer going well for you. and thanks again for your reply, much appreciated.

blessings and joy to you and the furry ones.

Re: Far and Away

Our fur babies are definitely important to us @soi I would not still be here without my babies. They have kept me going more than once and are indeed great companions. Cat has her own room that Toby can't get into so she gets a bit of space from him. It is her lttle haven away from the madness lol Toby does tend to be wherever I am though so generally leaves Cat alone. They have their occasional confrontations but Cat always wins those It sounds like your fur babies are pretty happy living together too.

Goodmorning @Faith-and-Hope I hope you had a wonderful day with D1. What did you guys do together? How is she doing?

Re: Far and Away

Morning @Zoe7 @soi @Shaz51 @Adge @CheerBear and anyone else around .... 👋💕

It was raining too much to go to the local markets that had been our intention yesterday morning @Zoe7 , so we went Io “my” cafe for some breakfast, then to a shopping centre where we picked up a few bits and pieces, and stopped for another coffee.

I dropped D1 at home, but she wasn’t okay ..... so in the evening when I had arranged with some friends to catch up in another cafe ...,, (our former home is not at all presentable to have anyone here - it has been turned into a neglected dumping ground, much to my distress, even though I have been staying in it on a mattress on the floor) .... D1 and SonIL were going to stop in on their way out to an occasion ..... and instead we got a phone call to take her to the hospital.

As it is, blood tests showed that her condition has actually improved, so it was just a bit of a fright, and she is on the slow mend. There are more tests and procedures ahead of her, but she needs to be monitored as she goes. It will be okay, but it could have been not okay a couple of weeks ago. They are on to it, and that is what matters, and it can be fixed.

She has wonderful in-laws, and not only did we pull together, and car-pooled last night, but they took me

for (another) coffee on our way home. Son1’s in-laws had stayed at the other coffee shop with my best friend when we all rushed off, so that was lovely too.

These are some of the supports I have left behind in the west. They are lovely folk who are all starting to band together in my absence and become a support community for my kids here. I am very grateful for that ..... and a bit emotional about it, having seen it all go into action so smoothly last night.

Re: Far and Away

Oh @Faith-and-Hope that is both so lovely to hear but also heartbreaking for you Hon. It is wonderful that those supports exist for your D1 especially when you are not there for her but they are also the supports you need for yourself too. What is important though is that D1 is being taken care of and that she will be okay. Spend as much time as you can with her while you are there - I'm sure she appreciates your presence
