Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

Totally enhausted @Faith-and-Hope Preps are such hard work I just described them elsewhere as energiser bunnies - they never stop lol I need to go out again tonight - have to drive to my parents place half an hour away to feed their dogs for them - they have a horse racing at the other end of the state tonight o are already on their way there. It is something I certainly could have done without but my sister is with them as well so I am the only one that can do it. I'll take Toby for a drive with me and he will keep me company. He also likes to play with one of their dogs so that will be nice for him too - may as well make the time enjoyable for one of us hey!

Glad to hear you got most of what you needed to get done finished before you left this morning. Hope your afternoon class was a good one for you. I will probably miss you this afternoon with me having to go out and you heading west but will look out for you when I am home. I suspect it will be an early night for me but as usual I will let you know if I head to bed early.

I have a few things I want to get done this weekend but have 3 days to do it all and tomorrow will most likely be a rest day. If I can get the mowing done I will be happy - the grass is way too long. Also need to do the usual housework and some planning for next week. Hoping also to get some boxes moved in the spare room so I can actually get into things a bit easier - that will be a job that can wait if I am too tired though.

Sending you loads of love and some hugs. Say hi to Visual and D2 from me too, Hope to catch you later

Hi @Zoe7 👋 💕

I am glad you survived the energiser bunnies today 😊

Re: Far and Away

LOL @Faith-and-Hope only just They are certainly full of energy but I certainly got to know some of the kids a bit better. I am starting to get their names as well so that helped. The afternoon was super tiring - just standing around watching mostly while they played ...there is something really sweet about watching them all play together though - so in amonst the exhaustion there were moments that they made me smile also.

Re: Far and Away

Thought that might be the case @Zoe7 . Knowing that you like the middle-years age group, the preps are a delight, but much shorter attention span, and very lively.

Re: Far and Away

Lively is an understatement @Faith-and-Hope lol They were super charged today. You would think it being a Friday they would be a little tired but oh no, no, no they were energiser bunnies The only one tired was me. They were very cute trying to colour in inbetween the lines though. One boy was being so careful that if we hadn't helped him he may still be there just colouring in the hat lol

Dogs fed and road trip done and now putting my feet up. Have a headache again so pain relief and night meds on board and bed calling my name. I will be up for a bit longer though otherwise I will be up super early in the morning. Need to at least make it to biscuit time for the fur babies and then I suspect I will collapse into a deep sleep before my head even hits the pillow

I did want to stay up until you landed back in the west but don't think I will make it - I will see how the next hour goes though and when the meds kick in. Hope you have everything organised that you needed to do and the flight is hassle free. Will look out for you while I am up

Re: Far and Away

I hope you have arrived safely and had a good nights sleep @Faith-and-Hope It will be great for you to catch up with you kids in the west and hopefully with some of your friends there too.

Having a very lazy day here so far - fell asleep this mornng watching tv - still feeling the effects of yesterday - muscles are aching from standing up most of the day. I am going to get up off the couch soon as sort out the washing - I think I only have 2 small loads to do today but the bed needs changing as well. Really not in the mood to do that but it has to be done. The kitchen is also a bit of a mess again but that shouldn't take long to do - mostly putting things away and washing up a few things

What are your plans for today?

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Zoe7

Was headed to local markets today but we have been rained out ....

Re: Far and Away

Been raining here too @Faith-and-Hope but I wasn't going out today anyway. Mum just stopped in to give me the oresent from my last school. It is a painting done by a local artist depicting all the places in the area I worked. It really is a lovely painting - no idea where I will put it but it is in our colours so at least it matches what I alresdy have. I will need to send a thank you email to the principal now. Mum also said she asked how I was going and mum told her I was loving it, the staff and kids are wonderful and very supportive - hope that had an effect on her own thinking

Watching tv in my jammies today - not planning on getting out of them until tomorrow (at least) but will need to do some grocery shopping at some stage across the next couple of days.
