I will be very happy to celebrate with you all.

I don't want to miss celebrating my 50th Birthday, despite being in recovery then.

I've not had any sort of face to face birthday since my 40th.

This surgery business (& recovery each time), has been a very long thing - starting with the 1st emergency surgery in November 2014. Hopefully ending with this 4th surgery.

That means that I must recover really quickly....

So that I can get to it.

Just as well that I don't have to drive to this party - because I won't be able to drive for quite some time.

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope I will be very glad for the company.

Hospital can be a very isolating (lonely) experience - despite the constant noise & activity there.

I'm resigned to not sleeping the 1st night or so - I can't sleep when "under observation" (it's like ICU), with bright lights & beeping machines.

Those beeping machines saved my life (November 2014) - that's when the response team all rushed in, & I had the 2nd emergency surgery (a few hours later).

Saw the new counsellor today @Zoe7 @Former-Member @Shaz51 @Adge @CheerBear @Teej .... seems like a good fit. I will see her weekly for now, and take things as they come from there.
