Far and Away

I have taken note of @CheerBear ‘s salad in a jar idea and picked up some storage containers to throw salad ingredients into @Zoe7 , so it definitely will be simple. Will be a battle to keep these containers free for salads tho. Everyone will likely pilfer them ....

I love @CheerBear 's idea of salad in a jar too @Faith-and-Hope I might even invest in some for myself on Wednesday. I would live off salad if I had to - love the freshness of them ...but love my veggies too - definitely depends on the weather for me. Wednesday is going to be a big shopping day for me - have just about run out of everything in the fridge and cupboard - planty of condiments (that CB would love to hear lol) but very little fresh stuff left. I will get a couple of things tomorrow to get me through the next couple of days then fill the fridge and cupboard on Wednesday - I hate living pay to pay but after this next pay I should be more on track.

Frozen pizza for our dinner tonight. Havent felt like cooking anything the past couple of days. And when I do go to the trouble, hubby wont eat it half the time anyway. But its a nice pizza ... taking it out of the oven now. @Zoe7 @Faith-and-Hope 🍕

I have the salads made, and nicely portable, which is good, cos Son2 has headed off to the art space to get organised for class tomorrow, and refused to bring the camera back for Daut3 and me to use for our class tomorrow .... so we are packing the salads and going over there to eat, taking Daut2 with us, and bringing the camera back.

Mr ? Eat with us in the art space tonight ? Tanty cos we’re not eating here with him ? No. He’s going jogging at that time .....

That’s the way of it tonight in any case .... and tomorrow is another day .... and the day after he is on a plane .....

At least he had lunch with us .... sort of ..... don’t know if @Former-Member caught the fact that he didn’t eat. We went to a Korean bbq place, but he took one look at the meat we were supposed to cook and it wasn’t what he would buy. Then he was brave enough to try it 👍 but the lipid content was too high for him because of his lean he has kept his intake for so long .... sigh. Hearing you @Former-Member , with hugs ❣️

@Zoe7 glad your finances are evening out by degrees. You won’t know yourself ....

S2 is being a pain then @Faith-and-Hope but at least you will all be eating together - apart from the ever jogging Mr. Only another couple of days and he will be gone again and you can all breathe for a few days. It is hard though I know as the baby dragons miss him as well as need some space from him and his obsessive ways.

You are right about my finances Hon - it will be great to finally feel like I can get through without having to live pay to pay. It will take another month or so to be completely on top of it all but it is heading in the right direction. I was worried that only working 4 days I would still be in the same boat but I will be getting a little more than my income protection was and I got through on that okay.

S2 is still very much in recovery @Zoe7 , so although he is being difficult, it’s not without purpose. He is having to stick quite rigidly to a to-do list every day .... something along the lines of -

Wake up

Get up

Eat breakfast

Shower

Get dressed

Go to uni

So he did his music practice, and the next thing on his list was homework .... working very much in straight lines and joining the dots as he goes, with next to no flexibility yet ..... that will come later. Without that understand, and even with it, it can be infuriating. D3 is struggling with temper management, and D2 is attention seeking by needing constant reassurance, over everything, all the time .....

Nothing is entirely stable, but hey .... the kids are at uni, homework, showers and eating are happening .... we are still on the road .... 👍

S2 and D3 are making progress @Faith-and-Hope and that must be wonderful to see as their mum despite it being baby steps forward it is positive. I can imagine it would be hard for D3 not having you all at home all the time as well so I can understand her need for constant reassurance - it is a big change for her too - especially having the carer during the week as well. Nothing is set in stone in your world and that is hard to work around but you are doing what you need to help everyone through - not at all easy but manageable hopefully
