Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

I have felt that big ouchy one too but not to the extent that you would have - it does make me really grateful that @Faith-and-Hope can still support our posts as I know she is still here for us @CheerBear - but for you there is just the emptiness - I do so feel that for you - I think what it would be like without F&H and know exactly how you feel. Here for you anytime my wonderful CB - you know how much I think of you and if you forget I will occasionally tell you lol

Yes things are moving forward for me - it is a lovely feeling - who would have thought this would all be happening even a few months ago - just taking it as it comes though and veing cautious still (I am not that confident yet but that is to be expected)

@Faith-and-Hope I am heading to bed early tonight - been a very long yet productive day for me. Going to try to get to the supermarket early tomorrow before it gets too hot and then will probably spend the rest of the day inside with the air con on. Hoping you have a good day today where you are and there is plenty of light shining on you. I so wish I could chat to you right now - so much going on and I miss you terribly tonight. Sending you all my love though and hoping everything is going okay for you. Hugs my angel

Re: Far and Away

Morning update @Faith-and-Hope...

Slept okay - was in bed erly and asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow - was a long day yesterday so very tired last night. Woke up early as a result but doing okay. Going to head out this morning to the supermarket to get the things I still need and as it is supposed to be quite warm today I think a beach visit with Toby (and maybe my sister and her dog) may be in order later today.

I still have gift cards for Bunnings to use but will wait until I get paid next week to see if I can afford the bigger drop saw or I need to get the smaller (less expensive one). I got a new angle grinder yesterday to replace the one that got immersed in water when we had the flooding last year. Also got a few little things but won't know what else I need to replace until I get to sort out the garage - might even start that today before it gets too hot.

Hope you are having a good day and I look forward to seeing your supports later on - love ya

Re: Far and Away

Been out in the garage trying to clean up a little - it is going to take some time to get it all done - would certainly help if I had the roof fixed and I could put the shelves up. For now it is just moving some things around and working out what I need to replace. The more I do the more I find I need to replace - so many things rusted from the flooding last year and not knowing how damaged they are inside the elctrical components so much of it needs to be thrown out and replaced. I did a fair bit of sorting in one section so but it began to get too warm - now going to spend most of the rest of today inside and then tackle a little more of it later today when the temperature decreases a bit.

Hoping also to get to the beach later but that will depend on whether my sister and her partner are going to the block. If they do I might go down there and join them - it is about 40 minutes away but there is a lovely beach just 5 minutes walk away where we can also take the dogs. It isn't as nice as 'our' beach but will still be nice to walk along it and take the dogs for a walk also.

Tomorrow is going to be super hot so an inside day for me - might crank up the air conditioner and use it as a painting day. I still need to get some more oils but think I have enough of the colours I need to get the peacock started - and it will take some time to do.

Hope right now you are sleeping and have had a good day. Will of course check in here again later even if it is just a goodnight from me.

@Bimby2 lovely to see you here again @Faith-and-Hope is overseas at the moment and can't post - she can support posts however. Thought I should tell you that incase you didn't know. Sure she will love your message though

Re: Far and Away

@Faith-and-Hope I cut Toby's tailnails this afternoon - not without some drama - he hates having his front legs touched so it took a bit of time and some not nice chewing on my arm by him lol Also picked up his toys and finished the washing.

Think I have decided to stay home this afternoon - don't really feel like going out now - bit tired - so will feed the fur babies soon and maybe sort out a few more things in the garage then put my feet up and watch the cricket tonight.

Might vacuum later when it cools off a little too but knowing me it will wait until at least tomorrow - not my favourite job but needs doing regularly with fur baby hair everywhere lol

It has been 4 weeks since you left and despite me missing you terribly the time has passed quite quickly - hoping the remaining time does too. Also hoping you are enjoying your time away and there are not too many dramas going on in your life. I continue to have lovely support from others here and that is filling the void somewhat - but do miss my forum buddy and our daily chats - nearly halfway there though.

Will say goodnight later and hope you have a great day

Re: Far and Away

@Faith-and-Hope Took Toby to our beach this evening with my sister, her partner and their dog. It was the most beautiful of nights - not a breath of air and the water was warm enough to paddle in. Toby did his usual 'go up to everyone and want pats' thing and then played in the water a little. He decided he wasn't sandy enough and made puppy sand angels in the sand. He is still covered in sand but it is too late to bath him so he is sleeping on his bed tonight. I don't think he will mind because he is super tired. I had to carry him back to the car because he just layed down and didn't want to move - poor little mite wore himself out lol Suffice to say there is sand everywhere in the car and my house now but I will clean that up tomorrow too.

I am pretty tired myself now - have done a lot today but still need to clean up things from dinner - shouldn't take long as I pretty much cleaned as I went tonight. Just a few dishes to wash and then the kitchen will be clean again. I have been pretty good lately in staying on top of the kitchen tidying. Need to remember to put the bins out before I go to bed as well tonight.

I hope your day has started well and you have things planned today to keep you occupied. Tomorrow is going to be late 30s here so will be an inside day with the air con on - might even get a fair bit of painting done but that depends on if I have the motivation. Tomorrow night I will be watching the cricket - Hurricanes play at home but meant to be strong winds tomorrow night so definitely not going to watch it at the ground - hopefully it is not too bad a spectacle in those conditions.

Off to take my meds and then do the rounds of the forum - see who is about and how everyone is tonight. Hugs Hon

Re: Far and Away

I slept well last night and have woken up with a little more energy than I have had the lsat few days @Faith-and-Hope Toby slept on his bed on the floor last night as he was still very sandy from the beach. I am going to bath him today - it was too late last night and he was too tired so didn't want to do it because he shivers when he can't run around to get dry.

Today is going to be in the late 30s so an inside day for all of us today. I will put the air con on when needed but it stays pretty cool in my house being brick and insulated. I still need to get to the supermarket so intending to do that this morning before it gets too warm.

My plan today is to get some painting done and then start sorting out my dining table a bit more with everything that has been placed on there. The dining table is right next to the air con so should keep me cool enough to tackle that. Tomorrow I will do some more of the garage (as long as it isn't too windy and not raining). Then I may have enough room to get things stacked, sorted and put into boxes to clean, sharpen and de-rust if possible. After that I will know more of what needs to be replaced and can go bck to Bunnings to purchase with my gift cards I have remaining. Next week is also pay week so I will know how much I will be getting over the next month before work starts again. It really is coming around quite quickly - that is why I would love to have the garage done before I go back. It I can have that done and then things moved to my new school I will have much more room in the house and will be able to begin renovating inside again - especially getting the spare room painted and set up for painting and as a music room.

So much I want to do ....onwards and upwards
