A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

@tyme I understand that. Needs and wants are very different.

My kids have always had everything they need. I believe they are very lucky in that sense. They however don't get everything they want. They have to earn it. They both have casual jobs so they can save money and buy things themselves. My daughter is currently saving for a car.

It hurts me too to see kids growing up who don't have gratitude for anything. I guess I just have to hope that we have brought them up the right way.

Your nieces and nephew are lucky to have you.

Awwww. Too sweet @Snowie .

It's good your daughter is saving for a car. Don't forget to remind her about the on road and maintenance costs! That's an extra $2000 + each year! Oh, and fuel, licence, fines..... I always tell people owning a car is not just about purchasing one. It's the ongoing costs - if you can't afford to have insurance, it's better you don't have a car.

Re: Far and Away

I have told her all of that @tyme and that it costs a lot. I told her it is not a right to have a licence but a privilege.

I don't mind helping her with those things however. If she goes to uni next year then I am happy to divide the costs with her, as she will only be able to work casual.

Re: Far and Away

So true about licences being a privilege. @Snowie - if only more people knew! Then maybe I wouldn't have burnout marks all over the top of my street! So dangerous, and these hoons could've crashed into any of the nearby houses and seriously hurt someone....
