Far and Away

My morning check in is very late today - can't seem to get myself motivated at all. I did do a little more painting this afternoon so that is pleasing. It is coming along okay - still doing the background - might try to begin the actual peacock tonight but depends on both my energy levels and headspace.

I spent some time this afternoon laying on the bed with Cat so that was really nice - she was purring away while I rub her tummy - she loves that 😺

Going to head to the Taste tomorrow with my sister for lunch - it is supposed to be quite warm tomorrow so we will probably not be there too long. I also need to meet my mum to change some jammies she got me for christmas - they fit but I like them a bit looser for night time. Everything else she got fitted so just the one thing to change.

I have my psych appointment on Wednesday so will head to the art shop as well as it is quite close to where I will park. Will look for some more paintbrushes - need some smaller ones that are good quality and if I have the energy I will head to another shop to get some more oil paints - will need them to do the peacock as I am just about out of a couple of colours.

Feeling very tired still today but trying not to let that get to me too much - just taking each day as it comes right now. Maybe going to meet someone at the beach later in the week but I will let you know if that happens - me being more social is quite scary but hoping it is a good thing. I will have Toby with me so that will give me a bit more security if it happens.

It seems like time is going slowly right now but I have no doubt that once it gets into January the time will go quickly - hope so because I really do miss you @Faith-and-Hope - need my friend back here with me

@Faith-and-Hope I made it to the shop and got most of the things I needed but will have to head out again tomorrow to another supermarket as I still need a coupe of things.

Cat is sitting outside under the tree in the beautiful weather - she spent a little time on the bed then took herself outside again after her dinner. Toby is of course snuggled up next to me. We are both pretty much settled in to watch the news and then the cricket afterwards.

I am still looking at my dining table and wondering where to start in sorting it all out but it is not going anywhere so it can wait

It is supposed to be hotter tomorrow but looking forward to going to the Taste and then maybe the beach afterwards if I am not too tired - then will settle in for NYE on here. There are not too many people around the forum these past few days so might be a quiet night - nonetheless there will be a party for all those that are around. It will be a later night for me either way.

Had a shorter nights sleep than usual - up really early but need to stay awake as I have to meet my mum to change mu new jammies for a bigger size this morning then will meet my sister to go to the Taste of Tasmania @Faith-and-Hope

I started doing the peacock last night but just did the background in acrylics. Need to get some more oils today to begin doing the rest of the peacock. I am really enjoying doing this one and think I will continue with the peacock itself as I have most of the background under the feather are done already. I think once I get the majority of the peacock done then I will be able to finish the rest of the backgound and then start the foreground surrounding the peacock as well. That is the plan anyway.

I am also looking forward to seeing the back of this year. Although I have been much better towards the end of the year it was still a difficukt year all around - hoping that 2019 is a much better one. I will inevitably post again to you at least once today but wanted to wih you a Happy New Year now in case I don't get around to it later. Hoping you have had a good day and your evening is going well too.

Hi Hon

Have been to the Taste - ate a lot including crepes with raspberry coulis, strawberries and cream - it was delicious. We stayed a couple of hours, sat in the shade and listened to some good music. It was a really lovely afternoon.

We were going to take the dogs to the beach but both my sister and I are too tired - I might even need a nap soon. I'll feed the fur babies soonish and then lay down after that. We also talked about going to see the fireworks (the early ones) but not up for that either - the Taste was enough for me today.

Hi my angel - we are here together in real time today @Faith-and-Hope Hope you had a good sleep. I layed down for a little while but didn't sleep - think I will struggle to stay awake for midnight but will give it a go. I'll hope to be around tomorrow when it is midnight for you too
