A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

I would go to the shops first so I could relax when I was in the room @TAB but do what you feel would be best for you.

@Snowie Much better this morning - thank you Hon. Going to take it easy though ...thinking of setting up to do some painting but the neighbour is next door demolishing part of the back of their house so it is quite loud. Toby has not been coping very well with the noise - took him outside to see who it was and he seems to be a bit better now. He has gotten to know the neighbour over the last few weeks so as soon as he saw who it was, he was okay.

Re: Far and Away

@Zoe7 that must be loud hon. As long as they don't start too early in the morning and wake up you and Tobes. After all, it is holidays and you deserve the sleep in's.

Some painting sounds nice @Zoe7 What types of things do you like to paint?

Re: Far and Away

He doesn't usually start until around 8am (sometimes later) so it is all good @Snowie

I have been painting a large peacock on canvas for well over a year. Presently it is in the spare room as I just have not had the energy, time or motivation to get back into it. It has changed a lot over time but I have a clearer direction on what I want to do now. Sometimes that inspiration is hard to find but I always get there (it may take 10 years though LOL)

Re: Far and Away

Sounds like a considerate neighbour @Zoe7.

Wow, that sounds amazing how long you have been painting it for and how you have stuck to it. Not giving up on it is really good. I don't think there is nothing wrong with it taking a long time. Rome wasn't built in a day!!

I have never been into art, even at school I just wasn't that way inclined. I did buy a paint by numbers kit at Kmart yesterday that I thought I might try to do.

Re: Far and Away

It is quite large @Snowie I want to put it in the hallway when it is done.

Those paint by numbers are a great start. I have seen many of them done and they look great when finished - good luck with it Hon. Art is so personal - and a great way for those inclined to express themselves in a creative way. We all have those things we enjoy and are passionate about but it is also always great to try new things ...maybe you will find a hidden talent you never knew you would have 🎨😁

Good morning sweet @Former-Member 💖 Much love and light coming your way 💛

Re: Far and Away

That sounds great @Zoe7

Especially to have it somewhere you can see it everyday.

When I was in hospital I found myself going to a lot of the art therapy classes. I found them really helpful. But I do seem to write or read a lot when things are not going well.

Good morning @Former-Member 💜

Re: Far and Away

Both writing and reading are great outlets @Snowie Do what you need in those hard times I say 👍 I used to write a lot when I was really unwell. It is a great way to get it all out. It was actually part of my safety plan.

Re: Far and Away

..snap .. @Zoe7 thats the Plan.might have shower and coffee to wake up first though.

just sent a bit narky email to real estate as they misspelled my surname on receipt for house deposit (not legal?) and addressed my by my first and middle names eg jon-pierre or wateva .. grrr..

Told them how it is

Re: Far and Away

Reading and writing are part of my safety plan @Zoe7 Especially writing things down and tearing them up afterwards.

@TAB glad you told them how it is. I actually looked at a house the other day that I am interested in buying. Just depends on bank and how much they are willing to go down.
